I find his style of football tedious personally. Can't argue that he doesn't get results because he does but I'd prefer to watch our 94, 99 or 08 team any day of the week. Might not be as technically gifted but miles more enjoyable to watch.

Where we parked the bus against barcelona and defended?
It helps he has the players he has. Our squad is miles away from being able to go to Madrid and dominate.

If he was in charge of madrid i bet they would have all the ball in this match and not bayern.
I think Anchelloti is the ideal candidate (54 years old), he's won leagues and Euro cup as a player and manager. Plus he's a uniter in teams as opposed to the likes of Mourinho who likes to create cliques in teams in order to develop that 'them vs us' mentality.
If you get Anchelloti you would have done really well.
Pepe looks even more mental with big hair. If that's possible
Having the ball means nothing if you do nothing with it.
I'm sure Ancelotti is the happier manager. Possession based football is boring to watch unless it has a Messi to turn passes into goals.
I genuinely hate the way Bayern play now. Real Madrid's counter attacking all day long for me.
Come on guys.........you can't argue his team don't play about 200 unnecessary passes per game.
I know why they do it but it can be really dull to watch. Especially when they get the first goal.
Tiki Taka football takes great skill but it can be a real turn off for supporters.
This has to be a joke. Any manager who thinks that having 75% possession isn't excessive needs to have a word for themselves. Totally risk averse and predictable. They're very fortunate to only be one down here.
Plan B? Why would the great Pep be concerned with such folly?

Only if you don't appreciate the tactical aspect of football.
I saw loads of people here praising the Chelsea performance last night because of the skill in which they defended.
That's not gonna be everyone's thing. But some are gonna enjoy it.
Personally I enjoy the tika tala style. I of course prefer faster paced football marginally but there are pleasing aesthetics in both styles.
I find it dull also, passing for passing sake. Against weaker teams great as there will be goals and lots of chances. But against stringer teams the ball just ends up being knocked around the middle of the pitch for 70% of the game.
If isco'a gonna fulfill his potential he's gotta leave Madrid.
Only if you don't appreciate the tactical aspect of football.

Football is a simple game complicated by idiots.
Pep's style is tedious. That is beyond dispute.

You also have to consider that pep isn't empoying these tactics to please any other clubs fans, he's using them because they work a lot of the time.
What do you expect then to do against big teams? Change their style just for a more open game
Maybe but his record in Classicos and big big matches in recent seasons isn't really all that impressive at all, is it?

Yeah but his teams have always been successful. And let's not forget he did set a Classico record. When he beat them five straight times in his first give classic is and has recently been going up against the master defensive tactician in mourinho in classics.
So basically you want the same as what you got against Everton on the weekend.

Lol. Pep ruined Bayern
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ruined how? He wrapped up their title in about 5 mins flat. They still have a home leg to come.
The result might not make good reading for Bayern but the stats show how much they dominated this first leg. The last opposing team to enjoy 72% possession in the Bernabeu? Me neither
----
game set match
real with 28% posession - what a world class midfield this was
let me say that again
SEVENTY TWO PERCENT POSSESION
Chances win games. Sideways passes do not
