@WBAFCofficial: VIDEO: Pepe Mel says 37 points should be enough to secure @premierleague survival this season http://t.co/yloK6oIqJQ

A draw would suit West Ham, as our goal difference is probably worth an extra point to what we already have.

I have no faith in Sam Alardyce. I think West Brom have appointed a good manager and they will be up for this. 2-0 West Brom.

Baggies v Hammers

Big game for us. Not sure it really is for Hammers.
They're safe on 37points. This worries me. They will play with freedom and no pressure.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the complete argument against those who say this fixture or that fixture against a side with nothing to play for will be easy.
It's exactly why the Stoke game will also be so difficult.

I'm not sure I agree. There's no such thing as an easy fixture but i'd much rather play a team who are safe but can't make Europe rather than a team who are either at the top or the bottom. Look at Newcastle who seem to have lost interest. In contrast look at Sunderland who, despite looking favourites for relegation, are getting results against top sides.

All the top and bottom teams will fight for their lives during the latter stages. If we go 2-0 up against a team who have nothing to play for they're much more likely to crumble than a team who are desperate for the points.

Having said all that, West Ham aren't mathematically safe so I still believe it will be a tough game.

Hate to say it but a draw seems most likely. However, unlike recent performances, I fancy we'll win if we can get ourselves 2-0 up!

West Ham's last two games are Tottenham and Man City. I don't think we'll get much from those, so tomorrow's game is important for us.

Yes, we do appear safe. But this has been a crazy season at the bottom and there are 12 teams who still face relegation.

If Albion were to ask him? How much say does Pepe Mel actually have if he has to be asked that kind of question???
Surely Graham Dorrans is worth at least the sort of contract that players like Liam Ridgewell, Steven Reid and Gareth McAuley are on?

It's hereeeeee.

A win today and safety is virtually ours.

I feel a high score draw though

Let's hope the liquidator is ringing through at 2.55pm.

Three Albion fans all die in a car crash on the way to a match and go to Heaven.
They are waiting at the pearly gate when St. Peter arrives and greets them, "Welcome to Heaven. There is only one rule here in Heaven and it is do not step on the ducks."
The baggies each look at each other a little confused but then St. Peter opens the gate and sure enough there are thousands of tiny ducks covering the ground.

The first Baggie goes in and lasts a week and steps on a duck. St. Peter appears out of nowhere with the ugliest woman he has ever seen and handcuffs them together. He says, "This is your consequence for stepping on a duck. You must be stuck with this woman for all eternity," and disappears.

The second Albion fan goes for a month and finally steps on a duck. The same thing happens again. St. Peter arrives with the ugliest woman he has ever seen, handcuffs them together, explains what has happened and leaves.

The third Baggie goes on for years and years, but never steps on a duck. Suddenly, St. Peter pops up out of nowhere with the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen. He handcuffs them together, and without saying a word, leaves. The Albion fan looks at the woman and says, "Bloody hell, I wonder what I did to deserve you."
The woman slowly looks the Baggie up and down, takes in his bad hair, bad skin, bad teeth, ridiculous stripy shirt and pot belly and says........

"I don't know what you did, but I stepped on a duck."

Come on Hammer! Pop another nail in their coffin!

👍 hope so pal.

Think we'll scrape the 4 points we need.

However, I think we'll do it the hard way. High score draw today with the doom and gloom set in but we'll win at Sumderland to get us safe.

Well done on promotion 👍

steARMan306 reckons Albion 'will go next season'.
Albion will learn the lessons of this season and we won't make the same mistakes next. We will certainly never make the mistakes Wolves did under McCarthy.
And meanwhile, Wolves will be stuck in the Championship for years.
