I think the players awards are a bit of fun. The writers awards are more important.
I mean what the average IQ of a PL player, I always get the feeling one great performance against their team will get a player into their squad around voting time.
Having said that some of the jornos seem as bitter and twisted as some of the poster on JA 606 lately so be interesting to see what they come up with.

You knock 'the average players IQ' but then how does that mean that a journo with a degree, is better at judging a football player? If they were that good at it. They'd be playing the game themselves.
Writers award is the biggest popularity contest going.
Azpil has been the best full back by a mile . Hard to believe he wasn't starting early in season. Great defender as showed yesterday against Sterling and anyone else they threw at him. Would get in any side in Europe at left or right back,never has a bad game and reminds me a bit of Denis Irwin,just keeps getting it done.
I really hope Azi gets the Chelsea poty, if not from the fans then from the players

It's because John Terry is an ugly chaaaav who has a face of a bulldog. No one likes him.
