According to who?

Not the right appointment in my eyes, if he got the job he would have my support none the less.

And when have spurs ever won anything recently either? Seems like a perfect fit.

Hope I'm wrong but can't help feel the whole AVB vibe again. I'd rather have Rafa.

Hope he makes the right choice and steers clear of Spurs.

He's got a bright future and Spurs will ruin him.

Whoever get the Spurs job has to be given time, fans need to lower their expectations quite a bit, top 4 cannot be the new managers first seasons target.

Their chairman has been very definite he's not letting him go, but then he's said the same about Shaw and Lallana.. can't see Levy paying up to get him.

Rather keep Sherwood then get Pochettino

This is probably a load of rubbish (interview on talk sport) Clive Allen said if he were a betting man it will be that Ancellotti will replace Sherwood in the summer.

Ancellotti is a superb manager and would be an incredible coup for Spurs but why would he leave Real Madrid?

Whatever happens and whoever comes in we must act swiftly so the new man in charge has a full pre season to Assess our squad and bring in and sell players.

Or maybe not..

asked who he thought would be in the White Hart Lane hotseat next season, the former Spurs man [Clive Allen] told Kick Off: “If I was a betting man I’d have my money on Carlo Ancelotti.”

Pochettino won;t leave Saints, I can almost guarantee this, he's got a great squad and with a few additions they can overtake us next season. Shaw, Lallana, Rodriguez (sic), Ward-Prowse, Schniderlin (sic) he would be stupid to leave right now

Maybe he's running a book on it LLM

Thudd,

Do you think Southampton will be able to keep those players though? All the media hype around Shaw and Lallana, especially after the world cup will likely have the big clubs come sniffing around and tapping up the players.

I can't see why not, all players I've mentioned are all young, raw and obviously love the club, If I was playing at Saints and enjoying my football and getting 30k a week why would you leave to join say, Chelsea, City, Arsenal and potentially not get a game

"Thats a wind up if ever I heard one."

You're just jealous he thought of it first.

He is relying on only one retention at Spurs to do that.
