Curly...for the last time, this has nothing to do with Thompson ffs

You're the one with the bee in their bonnet about this ffs

It's a nice gesture by fans. What's the problem?

Whit??

curly, I know you hate the man, but you're picking the wrong fight here.

That top was getting released regardless. It's just the timing has changed due to the final. It's really not the same thing.

I'm really surprised at some of the comments on here. The prices for most football games are extortionate, not everyone is fortunate enough to have spare cash. If you can afford it, have a bit of compassion and try to help someone have a good memory. I went to the 1985 cup final (Celtic fan) , I struggled to get the £2 (ish) plus bus fare but it is a memory I will hopefully never forget. If you can donate, great. If not don't knock someone else's good intentions

The problem is United fans bleating about the SFA not doing this or that when they are doing nothing other than what the rest of us put up with, yet United whinge and moan about it Ivan.

Think thats the issue, thats my issue anyway

Cannie bring 20,000 fans to a semi but moan about not getting a 20,000 allocation.

United players instead of old firm players get linked with moves to big clubs in the papers, apparently its deliberate moves by the Glasgow journos to unsettle United players before games with the old firm.

Now its bleating about £35 ticket prices, whe the rest of us have to pay that to watch our team in a final, and near sell the ground out most times

Stop yer fcking moaning
Yer team has reached a final, and you lot are hung up about going rate ticket prices and want to have a pop at the SFA for it.

Its getting tiring
Its moaning for virtually fck all yet again from United
Gies peace

Maybe more fans should be vocal about perceived injustices rather than sitting idle. It is OUR game after all.

United fans are not only vocal but active.

Maybe Rangers fans particularly should take a leaf out of our book rather than trying to tell us we should just accept what we're told/given. Maybe if you had copied our approach your recent past would be very different.

Anyway the fund is up to nearly £13k. That's over 300 tickets. It would be great if the SFA offered concessions to this group.

They could enter into the spirit of the fund.

It would be a good bit of PR for a start. It would show that they aren't just interested in getting every last penny out of every customer (note I said customer and not supporter).

I dont think paying £35 for a cup final ticket is an injustice, thats the issue Ivan, plain and simple.

FA Cup in England...starting price is £45 notes, most expensive ticket is over £100....here, most expensive is £35 notes, huge difference.

Champions League matches for Scottish Clubs, 3 match package, looking at about £100 in most intances, so around £33 a ticket. One game tickets are sold for more than that when the game comes around if there are any left.

Old firm games...looking about the same kind of price.

This is a premium game in the calendar, this aint a semi final and this isnt an ordinary Dundee United game, its the country's showpiece final.

It is not the fault of the SFA that Dundee United have successfully reached the Scottish Cup final and now need to pay going rate prices for a premium game.

so like I said.....gies peace.

As much as the SFA are erseholes, they need to make money somehow, and reinvest that money back into the game.

Charging £35 for a cup final ticket is not daylight robbery and the SFA are under no obligation to offer masses on concessions, its a cup final, its a huge occassions for a club, expecting a bit more to be paid for tickets is reasonable enough in my book

I take more of an issue with what the SFA are doing with that money to promote the game to young people rather than how they are going about getting a good chunk of it via the cup final

To flip it on its head also

The old firm coming to town is a premium game for SPL clubs.......so guess what they do, they ramp the ticket prices up.

I have far more of an issue with this, because a league game that is not a derby isnt really a premium game...a cup final is

I honestly can't see how you can call this fund "self-publicity". I find that honestly staggering.

As I've said to you, I'm not particularly impressed at United releasing next seasons kit early but in no way is it the same as denying kids and pensioners the opportunity to see their team in a cup final by pricing them out, particularly given the SFA remit of promoting the game to families.

I'm genuinely stunned that you two think this fund is a negative thing. I honestly can't see how it can be viewed negatively.

And I can assure you that any issues with the club around this final - and there are issues - will be raised with the club through a variety of opportunities to do so. But this kind of thing is the only way we can put pressure on the SFA to review how it does things for the betterment of the game as a whole.

St3vie that's your view and your entitled to it.

I, and many like me, find it outrageous that the SFA are billing this as a family final yet pricing families out. We are making our views known.

It's a democratic right to protest that we are taking advantage of. If you don't agree then so be it, but it won't stop us taking issues forward.

The SFA are holding a "family festival" outside Celtic Park from 12-2pm before the final.

Chance to meet the club mascots, got your photo taken with the trophy, football activities for the weans etc...

Free entry for all in possesion of a match ticket.

Its not like they are doing fck all and just charging every through the nose so i will say ti again, gies fcking peace ffs

United, the crusaders for us all

aye nae bother
greetin faced bastirts

The more succesful your team is, the more expensive it is to follow them, its an unfortunate reality for most football fans these days Ivan....think some United fans need to realise this and em, deal with it
