St3vie, if you're happy to pay through the nose then so be it.
Our supporters are not.
To be fair, to have a go at folk for raising money to help those unable to pay go to see their team in a cup final is shameful and embarrassing.

It isnt when they are laying into the SFA for pricing people out of the game when they are doing fck all of the sort Ivan
It is also laughable that this is being done to stick one to the SFA for their ticket prices....when all it is going to do is line their pockets more, bit sefl defeating.
Hope plenty of young kids and eldery United fans get tickets through this, I really do.
but save the injustice bull$hit, thats my only issue

Stevie I'm happy to pay £35 for me as an adult.
I think it's disgraceful to charge kids and pensioners £35.
Your average price for an adult ticket is maybe £22.
Your average price for a concession is maybe £10.
Why is it ok to have such a massive mark up on concessions?
First point, its the cup final
Second point, there were concessions, and they were snapped up very quickly....again becsue it was a cup final
Thirdly, those concessions were not hevily marked up, they were £10, same as your average price.
those how were smart and knew it was....to make the point again....the CUP FINAL.....got in there straight away and snapped up these concessions.
Those that didnt need to make do with the remaining tickets on offer.
Its that simple Ivan....it is that simple

Why should we make do? That makes no sense.
From a business perspective it makes no sense either. Supply is clearly going to outstrip demand. The game won't sell out. The SFA would in fact have a greater chance of making more money by having more concessions.
Curly I have a massive issue with that and I can assure you you that will be raised with the club.
However, we would still be in a position where not enough concessions were available.
Hampden capacity is 52,025
2013 scottish cup final - 51,254
2012 scottish cup final - 51,041
2011 scottish cup final - 49,618
2010 scottish cup final - 47,122
2009 scottish cup final - 50,956
The last five cup finals have been near sell outs, with the ticekting arangements and prices not really changing much form final to final.
So from the SFA's point of view, if they can sell the ground out almost every season, and offer about the same amount of concessions each and every time, why teh fck would you suddnely change practice just coz Dundee United are whinging??
I think your "supply is clearly going to outstrip demand." point is a little off when you lok at the attendacnes at the cup finals over the past five years.
There have been three finals in the last 10 years that havent featured old firm sides, and the lowest attendances was the 2010 final in which your mob played.
It aint the fault of the SFA that United feel a match with them and St Johnstone may stuggle to sell the ground out and think more concessions should be available as a result...thats United and St Johnstone's problem, other clubs fans pack the place becasue....to make the argument again.....ITS THE CUP FINAL
The game isn't at Hampden. It's at Celtic Park.
To help the league cup final sell out the SPFL had the prices set at £25 and £10 around the ground. Why didn't the SFA follow suit?

And it's not about us wanting to sell out. It's about making the game affordable to families.
It's because of that reason fans of other clubs, including Dundee, St Johnstone and Celtic have contributed to the fund too.
Just read on twitter that United For All will also be looking to help any St Johnstone fans who can't afford to go to the final if there's demand.

I know the game is at Celtic Park.
The League Cup final isnt the Scottish Cup final
2013 SC final - 51,254, LC final 44,036
2012 SC final - 51,041, LC final 49.572
2011 SC final - 49,618, LC final 51,181 (old firm)
2010 SC final - 47,122, LC final 44,538
2009 SC final - 50,956, LC final 51,193 (old firm)
This season's League Cup Final attracted a crowd of 51,143, with 40,000 Aberdeen fans turning up.
£25 a ticket or £35 a ticket.
United are a big enough club, they can attract a big crowd for a huge game like this.
United took 30,000 to Hampden for a game vs Ross County.
St Johnstone and United between them must surely be able to attract around 50,000...if they do, the SFA, I'd imagine, will have met targets and be quite happy given the Hampden capacity and recent cup finals
I'm waiting on the pay day argument next FFS
Just buy tickets to see your team in a final FFS and stop having a go at the SFA for doing next to fck all wrong or different form previous years when other fans were all quite happy to pay fir a ticket and go
I like how you just utterly dismissed that point.
Whatever, you disagree. Most dont. Looking through the donations it seems even some Rangers fans disagree with you.
Thankfully not everyone is a heartless bassa.
Its not about being heartless
This fund is a gret idea to give those who cant afford to go a chacne to go.
Its the whole "SFA pricing us out" utter utter bollox argument thats the issue here.....United bleating about fck all yet again
If none of that was attached to this, I'd be praising this in its entirity.
As long as this is attached to it, the bleating undertone degrades it, its simple
St3vie
Take it up with the people organising it
I think you're well wide of the mark on this.

I'm taking up with you Ivan
I wouldnt even have known about this if you hadnt put an atricle on this site somewhat boasting about how good a club United are for going on some faux crusade to stick one to the SFA, by lining their pockets
Curly I wouldn't say so.
I would argue that by giving individuals the opportunity to attend the game they are then meeting their objective in facilitating participation in sport. They are also saying they'll help Saints fans so they aren't falling foul that way either.

Its boosting United numbers at the final, and giving some folk free tickets....its doing fck all else.
I'm pretty sure this is the same charity that Thompson gave the "profits" from the replayed SPL fixture to, the one that he charged Rangers through the nose for.
And guess what that charity did then......had a scheme that bought United season tickets for kids.
So in the main, its a charity that lines United's pockets, and now its a charity that lines the SFA's pockets.
