Yeah and he can take McCoist with him.

Tbh I don't blame Edu he needs some proper wide men and a good central midfielder next to him to pass to. That's why his confidence is shot. So would you if you had McCulloch next to you.

i might get pelters for this but i actually think Edu could be an important player for us if the fans gie him a break. he is obviously a confidence player and has had a few howlers admittedly but he never hides, which is more than can be said for some. he also has a habit of scoring important goals

he wiz dire all night. I think he was caught on the ball mare times and give away mare of the play than any other rangers player in a long time. I ken its dire but playing McCulloch and Kirk disnae help either tbh

You are kidding me? Did you watch McCulloch and Broadfoot tonight?

posted on 18/8/11

Not edu's biggest fan but there was far worse than him tonight!

I agree henry RSC I think the fans need to get off Edu's back our other midfield players have been p@sh for years with no width.

castle

the thing i can't fathom iswe were looking for natural width and we kept our 1 and only winger in Wylde on the bench WTF?!

He nearly put it out for a corner to them from Inside their half then switch off from the throw in and they scored.

He should be greco wrestling not playing for Rangers although there not too much of a difference.

I know its tricky because wtf else do we play in there ?
we hae a shegite squad with a scattering of decent players. Davis, McGregor, Naismith, Jela, totally superb players

Ortiz, Wylde ,Lafferty , Ness, Wallace,Goyan all capable of playing well enough the problem is most of these widdny get near some of the rangers sides of the past, but i know why there here and needed.

the rest with the exception of a couple perhaps are fhucking shegite

Forget bringing wylde on, he should have started the match. How many times does ally have to see ortiz struggle on the left before he learns it's not going to work. Beyond frustrating

posted on 18/8/11

its early days, lets get behind ally, i dont think it was hsi fault we last that late goal, we will still go through

posted on 18/8/11

Whyte needed to put up or shut up, i'm afraid it's too late now. Sure we don't have the wolf at the door but are we really any better off? If anything i think we've got worse

I think the entire team was shocking tonight mate. Feel sorry for Jelavic, he had to do everything on the other half on his own. 4-5-1 without a fast player like Miller is a waste of bloody time. Defence was a shambles, Boca and Wallace were clueless tonight. Beginning to worry about McCoist's (lack of) tactical nouse. The players were dead on their feet and clearly struggling - what's wrong with a sub? Fs. I would rather keep Edu and punt McCulloch. Not a big fan of either but at least Mo is younger... maybe he will come good eventually.... (I hope)

Only postives tonight were Goian's headers and... that's about it

Get off edus case, mcculloch is the worst in that midfield. Lost count of the times he slowed us right down n passed backwards. Absolutely shockin, mccoist should have stuck with ness in there, never change a winning team

Dont understand how even they can tell davis is the player that makes us tick, yet our own staff dont hence the long balls over his head aw ngt. Only good thing to come out of 2ngt is the goal, that might just see us thru cause they werent a good team, just passed it well under no pressure. Hopefully we can do better at ibrox. Sad times guys

When McCulloch plays Edu is poor
When McCulloch doesn't play Esu is great

McCulloch is useless and was by far our worst player tonight.

posted on 18/8/11

I'm hoping that Edu settles with a couple of countrymen around him

posted on 18/8/11

your totally right Goian Ally looked clueless the night. Weve got to support him 100% but its hard when he sits there showing as much passion as a fhucking hoose brick!

Some of they players really need tae take a hard look in the mirror unacceptable performances tonight.

posted on 18/8/11

Obviously very early days but it was hard to be impressed by bocanegra. Ally has signed the wrong carlos me thinks

posted on 18/8/11

Edu is garbage..........to punt the ball from the opposition half nearly out for a corner is disgraceful.

His touch, passing, tackling are all terrible...........he was no worse than a fair number of others tonight but his problem is he's like that every game.

Him and Lee Mac are awful with the ball which would be halfway excusable if they protected the defence but they were waltzing through the middle of the park all second half.

Edu plays better without jig.

posted on 18/8/11

Our football is too slow. We dont press teams when we dont have the ball. Pedestrian at times, and painful to watch.

Only mcgregor, goian, edu and jelavic got pass marks from me 2ngt. Bocanegra gets the benefit as he was thrown in at the deep end, and davis due to the lack of passing on the deck

posted on 18/8/11

Id rather have someone who can put their foot on the ball and play a bit rather than edu and Lee who run kicking lumps intae everyone. .... New Era Ally new tactics and a new midfield needed!

posted on 18/8/11

CM was one position which i thought we were strong in but tonight has showed this is possibly now one of our weakest positions. Davis and Ness are our best 2 but i cn't see Ally having the faith to play Ness in europe. We need a holding player who can pass rather than a hatchet man

posted on 18/8/11

totally agree Henry . I know it kinda worked for Walter playing a couple of bruisers but fhuck sake ally is it such a bad thing to try and play some good football.

For such a long time we have sat silent and substituted dire football for results. We need to get back to having a midfield that can pass th ball around without looing scared
