That was in the contract given Floyd to train with the gloves. Not the case with Maidana as you well know. And this was longer than 5 years ago.

And Wlad did not pick the gloves against Haye.

So the only one you can come with was Morales, but even that one I eluded to.

I think most of the media outlets had the scores right to be honest. Most called it in favour of Floyd. Few had maidana and few had a draw. Dont think Maidana did enough in the 2nd half of the fight.

I dislike Mayweather, but i agree he won, but if you had mayweather winning by more than 3 rounds you need to eyes and head checking

Mayweather wins 8 rounds to 4.

Maidana did cause problems but a lot of his work was untidy and his overhand right's were catching Floyd on top/back of the head.

Floyd was putting his head down to evade these but got caught with a few.

Maidana did look dangerous but from round 6 onward apart from 8 Floyd was in full command and was too quick against a heavily tiring Maidana who I think

Floyd could have stopped him imo if he took a bit more of a chance but why would you when you are racking up the rounds.

Maidana's conditioning was his downfall and Floyd took full advantage by picking him off at will in the later rounds.

Cristobal, I agree that Maidana gassed out. I had him 5-1 up after the first half of the fight, he started slowing down after that point and Floyd took advantage of that, so I dunno why people keep saying 'Floyd adjusted' or 'Floyd figured Maidana out'...no, he didn't, he simply took advantage of Maidana punching himself out.

And even then, I scored the fight 6-6. I'm yet to watch it a second time...

D4 cant score fights.

For me definitely the better fighter on the night. I just had Maidana winning 7 rounds to 5.

Having just read your article Gunner i wouldnt laugh at other peoples inability to score fights. Although i disagree with D4 and agree with you that Mayweather won, Mayweather barely got into the fight before the 5th/6th round, Maidana was swarming FMJ quite comfortably and Floyd was always looking to the ref to help him out.
