I remember when you were top of the league... i put money on you to win it. Never again i will put money in arsenal to win the league

Bad games happen mate, it's really best not to think about what could have been.

In my opinion Arsenal have done exceptionally well once again to qualify for the Champions League despite a quite simply horrific injury list that crippled your season. For all the talk of being bottlers, you were in trouble of losing out on 4th spot and as soon as that pressure was on you nailed it.

If you're fresh next season, you'll be right up there competing for the title.

The Swansea game was the real body blow.

i stopped betting on Arsenal years ago. I made so much money on 2:1 Henry first scorer and before that 1:0 Arsenal win (got 50:1? wiltord 1:0 at OT...happy days) but you cannot predict our scores anymore

If you had beat Everton the gap would have been 7pts.

Not beating Moyes was also poor

Cat even remember Swansea game strangely enough. Remember them beating us 2-0 last season however.
It wasn't those games which killed our title challenge it was injuries.

funny because after we scored I kept saying "we need another....I don't trust these to keep em out" and so it proved.

The thing is I can't remember any game we won where we didn't deserve it....maybe just maybe spurtz away

I dunno....we still had the players to get results out of those games.

You have to expect a few slip ups against the smaller teams.

The cowardice against Utd (both.games), and our record in the big games have been shambolic. I dont know about you, but id be a bit ashamed having won the title after conceding 20 goals away .toeverton and the teams above us

I would say apart from the obvious (results against the top 4) it was the united games that really screwed us over. it is inevitable you will drop points against weak teams every team does it every season.. We have actually been almost perfect when it comes to the smaller teams so you cant pick holes in those games.

Indeed.

Truth is Chelsea and City were always title favourites. The next few positions were going to be in any order arsenal, utd, Liverpool and spurs. Liverpool have overachieved. If they hadn't then everyone would have said we've done well.

pints wise we've done what was expected of us. Results wise we should have done better especially against the bigger sides but if it weren't for Liverpool overachieving then our season would have been fine

Every team can agonize over certain losses - including the teams above us. The fact remains the current top 3 over the course of the season have been comfortably better than us. We were never good enough to win the league after our summer business left us short in key areas.

we were top for pratically 2/3rds of the season so I disagree that the other where much better than us. even taking into account the hammerings we took away from home. our tactics in each of those games was completely wrong and the players failed to stand up and be counted.

this is why we need to sign more leaders and not more kids with potential

It doesn't really matter how long we were top for. For one, most neutrals KNEW that when we play the tough fixtures, we'll drop points. We found those claims annoying but they prove factual and I think most knew in their heart-of-hearts we were in a false position waiting for the inevitable crash.

We lost the title after the shambles of a January transfer window.

What a load of rubbish. One position. Which wouldnt have mattered if Theo hadnt missed the entire season. He would have provided the extra fire power to put us level in ability with the teams above us

I agree. We don't deserve the title

not just january but also summer. hesitation cost us once again. we should have had huigain and ozil then gone again in jan when the injuries began to bite

Boy you lot are clueless!!! Man United away is the one match that broke our momentum and led to our steady decline this season.

Villa and United at home should be added. Really should have won those games.
