I agree. So overrated as well.

Full backs are judged on attacking skills more than defensive ones, just look at your own RB.

Debuchy is the man

I am going to have to disagree with your statement. Just look at some of the finest fullbacks who have played the game, from the likes of Maldini to Cole. They were first and foremost very good defenders. The attacking capabilities of fullbacks should always come second to their defensive capabilities.

Debuchy is really good

What a dumb comment

Johnson needs to shut up and learn to take one for the team.

Oh and RVP's left foot, looking forward to Europa next season?

I think quite a few United fans would prefer not to be in it.

Rafael is better than Glen Johnson defensively. What lets him down is sometimes he over commits and in some games seems to be a red card waiting to happen.

^ not really say very much is it?

Enjoy 7th

No, but he is better than Glen, young and is improving.

We'll have 7th this year but I see ourselves in the top 4 next. The question is, who will drop out.

Plays like a right winger at times and was bombing forward in search of more goals/assists. Had Rogers the nous to say 'keep it tight choose your moment' then you could blame Johnson. Miles ahead of Walker and haven't seen any of the other potential England r/bs.

In what way Saggy? Most rated full backs are good attacjers shït defenders. Rafael is a good example, as is Johnson. Both really poor defensively.
Then you have a proper solid RB like Sagna who isnt dynamic going forward. A far better right back than Johnson and Rafael, but this is ignored because he isnt flamboyant.

Sagna good defensively

Zabaleta is great both offensive and defensive, best RB in the league by a mile.

Surely this can't be a serious comment

A good half season doesn't make him the best. If he does it 3 seasons on the trot like Zabaleta you might have an argument.

Hes always been garbage defensively, the fact he cant or wont acknowledge that is the reason hes never improved.

An Arsenal fan talking about defending. A team that has conceded more than 5 goals on separate occasions this season.

Go sit in a corner!

Ironically that this is the most defensive Glen Johnson's been all season.

DJ is right. Now the beat full backs are judged more by how well they attack. Look at the best full backs in the last 5 years. Alves, Maicon, Lahm, Cole, Ramos. All of those better in attack then defence. Cole bevame better defensively as he got older and now struggles in attack.

Has to be abit of balance though. Sagna and Azpi bot very good defensively but nothong special going forward. Zabaleta is easily the most balanced in the league.

Agree with DJ. Plus, Sagna has been one of the best RB's in the league consistently since he's been here because of his defensive attributes. Attacking wise though, he's not great.
