Spurs probably have the most genuine fans, a massive fan base of non plastic and non glory hunters.
The hoards of Liverpool and United fans who simply jumped on a glory bandwagon are quite sad and pathetic really, and are not to be taken seriously.
I grew up in the 80`s surrounded by glory supporting Liverpool fans, of course they all claimed to have a grandfather from Wallasey

I was born in Manchester but moved to your horrid parts when I was 4, does this mean I glory hunt? And I doubt we can be classed as glory hunters after our awful season

I don't understand why you have to be from the city to support a club
======================================
Why do people from Bristol, York and Brighton decide to support Liverpool, Man United or Chelsea? Why not Leeds, Wolves or Forest?

I'm Sutton United, the closest football league team is AFC Wimbledon
Premier league team - Palace
There's only 2 reason someone born in London would choose to support Man U / Liverpool / City is
1, family member supports them
2, Glory Hunters
Spurs probably have the most genuine fans, a massive fan base of non plastic and non glory hunters.

I'm Cambridge United through and through.
But to be fair, the team you support could come from your family.
My family came from London. all my grand parents were Spurs fans.
I was born into a Tottenham family and never had a choice.
Only an hour from the ground though.

Great article
This is why I want city to win the league. Real fans, yeah the club got lucky recently but their fans don't support them cos they were glory hunting kids.

I was born in Stevenage, my grandad was a tottenham fan and was born there so I followed them because of it.
My dad was from Ireland and followed ( not supported ) United
My older brother choose Arsenal

I pretty much supported Arsenal cos a lot of my family are Spurs fans, as much as I love them they are complete dickwads when it comes to football. I was only very young then though so there's more to it than that now

Wait a few years.

Here in Milton Keynes there's loads of kids wearing city shirts now... I'd say it's on par with arsenal and Chelsea now
