Newcastle away.
Newcastle away wasn't a good performance...
They got behind our defence on a number of occasions and just lucky there strikers are cack.
Prob the only game we was deadly in front of goal tho

They created chances due to our poor defending but we dominated the game.
Surely the measure isn't individual games or the results of those games. You can have a blinding nil nil game after all. I measure Tim on the whole package and on the whole, he's a hole.

Disagree with Benfica, think that was an adequate performance but we didnt win in the end.
i wouldn't count Benfica away. They did a job on us in the first leg and completely relaxed for their home tie
in my eyes there is very little to shout about in terms of performance from Tim's tenure
deserves a pat on the back for coming in and providing cover

Spurtle,
Chicken, we finished on 72 points last season, and now Tim will have us finished on no more than 69 points
=====================
I think you’re confusing our progression from a club point of view compared to since the change of manager. Of course the club has regressed from finishing 5th last season (just like we regressed from 4th to 5th in the season before – under AVB) but from Tim’s perspective, he has taken “the club” from 8th to a higher position, so he has in fact progressed us since taking charge. I agree that the overall club position is lower – but the first half(ish) of the season, I’m sure you’ll agree, was out of Tim’s hands....
Flashy,
Yep. We've really progressed under Tim this season. Our lowest league finish since Harry
==========================
Same point as above. Tim could only change / progress from when he took over – and not whilst AVB was in charge. He took us from 8th to (probably) 6th. If this was the other way (i.e. we were 6th but finished 8th) then I would agree with you – but that isn’t the case...
He took us from 8th to (probably) 6th.
------
We probably would've finished 5th again with AVB.
"We probably would've finished 5th again with AVB."
Again, the Googlenomics hath spoken.
On the data for AVB, the final tally would be 64 pts.
6th if Man Utd lose their final game, 7th otherwise.
I think it’s important to note, that of the 10 Premiership managers that were replaced this season, Tim improved his club’s league position. Bar Pulis and possibly Poyet(??), all failed to make any progress in league ranking, with 3 clubs being relegated . Whilst we haven’t hit the club’s target from the start of the season, I think we should be grateful that the ship wasn’t just steadied, but we also progressed (to a degree). And for that I applaud Tim
Chicken.........................................................So how exactly did he progress us in the league? We were 7th but only on goal difference from 6th place Newcastle.
We were never 8th as you claim in several posts, using incorrect stats diminishes your argument substantially!
So AVB finishing 5th last season (due to a late Koscielny goal at Newcastle) was a failure, but Sherwood finishing 6th will be progress?
And were just outside the CL places last year, this year we are well outside! Real progress then!
Tim hasn't improved he's steadied the ship and guided us to 6th, a respectable position
hes pisssed off all our big players apart from eriksen and lloris.
Links to players being p-issued off?
Pavlyuchenko's smile (aka Weare)
We probably would've finished 5th again with AVB.
===================
Not judging by his points average we wouldnt.
We would have actually finished 8th....
