Terry should be in there for sure. Possibly Cahill too.

Dante?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
not even pep would put him up there
Dante would struggle for top 20
Vertonghen has had an underwhelming season but he's played half of it out of position. I have no doubt in my mind if he played for one of the best teams in Europe there would be no laughter
Terry
Silva
Kompany
Cahill
Chillieni
Mangala
Zouma
Hummels
Ivanovic
Subotic
I think Kos and Mert are one of the best partnerships but would not have Kos in there. He is too much of a one trick pony and always charges the ball down with little else to offer. Thats why he has made mistakes in the past like that Carling Cup Final. Mert is great at reading what Kos will do so pretty much always mops up when the ball gets past him and its this combination that is so good and in my opinion a great example of where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
I've always thought Atletico's Godin was criminally underrated. He's a proper "Keown-esque" hard man. It's good to see him get the credit he never fully got back when he was a key member of an underrated Villareal side.
Likes of Terry, Godin, Varane just miss out
I also think a peak pique is up there

Zouma
maybe in 3/4 years time but right now there are better defenders. Even in his own age group
Zouma is near world class already.
No he's not. He needs a lot of work. Behave yourself
zouma doesnt even start atm
Varane will be there soon Brilliant player.
Next season Zouma, Cahill and Terry will be the best CB trio at any club in the world.
Analog you disappoint me. Ramos? Pepe?
Marquinhos and Varane should be the two best CBs in the world one day

Does Godin's international record with Uruguay in addition to his club duties count for nothing? All things considered, his last two international competitions have been outstanding.
Ramos and Pepe are both good CBs. They're just a bit reckless
