I love how we're the only team not capable of playing twice a week. Our fitness training must be appalling.

It's not a dig Igor, reason I ask is about feb / mar time we were playing 3 x a week and there was loads of injuries and suspensions and we have a big squad.

its going to be physically tougher for the squad but really you have to look at it logically, its six extra games pre xmas in the cl, we will play no more then seven games before xmas next season then we did this season, its not like there is a cl game every week now is it.

The games are obviously high intensity plus we will be in a difficult group due to our seeding, we may well drop points after a cl game but every team competing in the cl does that now and again, its nothing new.

But with cl football to offer, good wages and genuine first team football on offer due to our squad size at present we should be a good looking option for some quality players, we've room on the wage bill for a few more big earners, brendan did a good job lowering the wage bill, this season of no europe provided us with the opportunity to slim down the squad, now we need to add to it and we will hopefully target quality players to go straight into the team and that will bolster the quality of the squad. I think we need to bring in 4 players of genuine quality to be able to compete in league and cl.

Congrats on the league, great team and manager and deserved title winners, at least it was interesting this year and i hope we can go head to head again next season, love toure, kompany and aguero youre lucky to have them genuine world class players.

I'm not saying it was necessarily a dig from you. However, it's been repeated constantly as though are players are going to break down in tears with two games a week, forgetting that we have a transfer window to build a squad, and that these are professional footballers, many of whom have European experience.

of course there is am argument that more games can cause problems, but thats one of those good problems

Plenty of our players have experience of playing in Europe and domestically, I don't think it will make a dramatic difference.

We have a few young players who don't have that experience but they didn't have the experience of a title challenge either and didn't do too badly.

When we add the 5/6 players BR has said he wants to sign, and have several players returning from loans, our squad will have much more depth than we needed this season.

I am not saying we will challenge for the title again next year, its tough at the top. Arsenal ended up only 7 pts behind but you wouldn't say they challenged for the title really because it was obvious from March they didn't have a chance.

We will be right in the mix for a top 4 place though.

Yeah it was good to see Liverpool make a challenge, there are some good free transfers about in the summer and I'm not taking the pi$$ by saying you could do a lot worse than Barry and Lescott.

I think the big test will be how Rodgers manages the squad.

He's untested in this department at the top end of the game.

posted on 11/5/14

Barry and Lescott are good players, but they play in positions that are literally dead last in the priority queue

posted on 11/5/14

Barry is too slow for how we play.

Lescott is no improvement on Agger/Sakho.

Both decent players but wouldn't improve us.

No we had our chance and blew it , it's hurts more than weds can describe but 2nd is the same as 16th to me

There's strong rumours that you'll sign Richards from us for 7m.. It's a shame but he wants regular football and truth is he won't get that whilst Zabaleta is here.

It's all irrelevant now, we fvcking blew it .

TVJ, give it a rest. I seriously think you need a reality check, and to look at this season objectively.

posted on 11/5/14

we didn't blow anything TVJ, we came close but came up just short of the better team

we've been strongly linked to richards every year for 4 years now

it's almost on a par with Turan for fictional signings

Igor we haven't won the league in 25 odd years , we will never get a better chance , apologies for being realistic and honest instead of the bulls#it next season we'll win it etc

Why will we NEVER get a better chance?

You are a complete clown.
