He's taken a 50% pay cut. We are paying him £80k per week

posted on 22/8/14

I've heard we're paying him £90K and £110K either way he's taken a pay cut, he's left Melwood now apparently stopped to sign some autographs.

80k a week apparently.

For some reason they are saying he was on 160k at milan which is obviously bs, hes on 70k, took a paycut to leave city

@MrBoywunder: Balotelli's desire to join #LFC means they knocked £10m off the fee so he really costs £6m, according to Barca."

It's great news he's taking a pay cut and that he's agreed to the good behaviour clause.

Must really want the move!

Well both BBC and Guardian have reported he will be earning in and around the £100k/week mark so I'll take their word on it. If he can entertain us all and bang in the goals it's not my problem how much he's getting paid.

posted on 22/8/14

Im not disputing what he will be paid by us, im sure it is around that figure most likely, italian clubs just dont pay massive wages

Serie A's lack of financial pull is well reflected by the figures, which were published by La Gazzetta dello Sport. Only 12 players across the country earn in excess of €4m per annum, compared to 13 members of Chelsea's squad who are reported to earn the same figure.

SERIE A MONEY | Italy's highest earners
1.
Daniele De Rossi
Roma €6.5m
2. Gonzalo Higuain
Napoli €5.5m
3. Diego Milito
Inter €5m
4. Esteban Cambiasso
Inter €4.5m
4. Carlos Tevez
Juventus €4.5m
6. Francesco Totti
Roma €4.5m
7. Mario Gomez
Fiorentina €4.25m
8. Gianluigi Buffon
Juventus €4m
8. Mario Balotelli
Milan €4m
8. Kaka
Milan €4m
8. Philippe Mexes Milan €4m
8. Marco Borriello Roma €4m
