Berahino for sale in the summer

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/west-bromwich-albion/11392499/Saido-Berahino-put-up-for-sale-by-furious-West-Bromwich-Albion.html

Interesting to see if we follow up any interest. Looks like he will be leaving on the cheap but sounds like a troublemaker.

I think we have moved on to Ings as he is a much better value purchase.

I expect us to sign him in the summer, so can't see us going for Berahino as well.

Especially with Sterling excelling in the striker role.

We already have Origi coming so only need 1 forward arrival IMO.

A few sources saying our new kit deal starting new season, running until 2018, could be worth £50m per year after additional merchantising.

That is a massive deal and upgrade from the £25m we are on currently and puts us among the elite. It was going to be impossible to match anywhere near the £75m per year 10 year contract Man Utd have with Nike but it's still a brilliant deal compared to other clubs if it's true. Crucially we will be able to negotiate again in 2018 for a bigger upgrade to get us closer to that of United's while they are bound until 2023.

Obviously it will massively increase our income and the spending power of the club within the FFP regulations. Details should be announced shortly I hope.

Add that to the increased revenue from a hopefully soon-to-be 60,000 seater stadium and we will be competing financially with the best.

Ings is very average

If Ings comes as 3rd/4th choice I don't mind that. He's young and was playing well until January when his contract issues surfaced (sound familiar?). Since then he has lost it a bit but is a good young English striker for a cheap price.

If we start next season with Origi/Ings/Sturridge then is the time to worry.

What terrible backup to injury prone and psychologically broken Sturridge. Ings has been dire. How does he earn himself a slot in a squad that is looking for CL next year?

So much for looking for proven marquee buys

There has to be one more!! Just has to be and there will I reckon, otherwise it's pure silly bu.ggers

In my mind right now if Rogers spends where he needs to this summer, ie a proven goalscorer and prospect strikers lurking about too, then I will be happy that he stays for many years challenging.

But if signings doesn't pay off and we do better than this season next time round, then there will be serious questions asked...

But looking at his overall perfomance as a nutshell right now and losing the SAS season, he deserves another season in my books
