i still think a lot of the cirticism levelled at rodgers is unfair.

His number one transfer target last year was not lallana or lovren, he went all out for sanchez.. dident get him. dident seem to have a plan B, to the point he laughed at the prospect of signing balo a week before we did..

prior to that his targets have been: Costa, willian, Mkhi, Salah, all quality players who would have strengthened us immesureably but for some reason or another did not come to pass.

We were after Lallana and Lovren as well as securing Lambert well before Suarezgate part 3. In fact we wanted to tie up Lallana before the world cup but could not agree a fee.

I still think Lallana could be a decent signing if he can stop getting injured

Yeah Lallana was signed before Suarez left so he was clearly a big target.

I think he had an ok debut season but because of his cost people are quick to knock him.

It's not his fault English prices are mad.

It's debatable whether he really fits our supposed style though because he is slow in possession (but presses well and wins it back well high up the pitch).

Bobby Di Matteo has just left Shalke. Took them from 11th to 6th.

Another manager with more on his CV than Rodgers.

Again, not saying I want him, just stating the fact.

He did ok in first season, not great but ok. If he cuts out his injuries he will be a key player for us. He's 27
now, must find his top form with us next two seasons as time is not on his side like plenty of others.

I think Rodgers sees Sterling as a forward now...thats if he stays.

Agree Lallana needs to improve.

I don't think he is a major point of criticism though.

We have other issues more pressing.

Lallana had two questions marks over his game even before he signed which were:

- Injury record
- Being a 60 minute player

Unfortunately he has not dispelled either.

Can't see Sterling staying after the way the fans attacked him and his reaction to them unless no one wants to buy him.

If I was a manager of any of the other big clubs I would not go near Sterling unless he got a new agent.

Those 2 fill both the spots you mention, I've seen the talk of this Eduardo Slavio but I'd never heard of him before and another winger/wide forward to go with

Markovic
Ibe
Sterling
Lallana

Hopefully we could offload Lambert to Villa as part of any deal for Benteke.

Ings will apparently cost £7m because of his age and all that compensation stuff. Makes me less convinced.

If it's any consolation this must mean that in two years time we could still get £15m for Sterling if we refuse to sell him and he runs down the contract.

I like Kondogbia.

I juts don't think Benteke is worth £30m.

Only time I've seen Kongdogbia is when Monaco destroyed Arsenal in the CL and he was impressive in that.

Do think we need a CDM, it's been years now where we've relied on an injury prone Lucas for that role.

To be honest if we only sign three players this summer I'd be happy. A striker, a CDM and a RB. But they must be top quality.

If the Salvio rumour turns out to be true then I think FSG are really sticking with their man. After all Rodgers is their manager of choice as opposed to Kenny and Hodgson.

Would be nice but not essential. Migs form has been good enough to not make it a pressing issue anymore. Our academy keepers can't be any worse than Jones.

Brad Jones is leaving, we can't go into a new season with Mig and some youth keepers, that's a desisted waiting to happen

Apparently Begovic might be available for around 8m I think.
