A 38 year old Luca Toni scored 22 goals in Serie A this season. I doubt he'd get double figures in the Prem.

Many players come from the Serie A and fail in the Premier League. I'm not saying Higuain would, just that the Serie A isn't anywhere near as good defensively as it has been.

Higuain has proved he can perform in Spain as well. I think he would suit the PL well.

Higuain is as consistent as they come.

Only two seasons in the last 7 he hasn't got more than 20 goals and one of those he was injured for half the season and still got 14 and the other he got 18.

Earlier today the French media claimed that Liverpool were in talks with Lyon with regards to signing their star forward Alexandre Lacazette. However, the president of Lyon has denied that the French side are in talks with Liverpool over his prized asset despite this speculation.


He revealed that rumours of the player signing for Liverpool are false, and he believes that Liverpool do not have the means to sign the France international.

“Your information is false. Liverpool have never called us and remind me what European cup are they are playing in next season and they have neither have the means to sign the player nor the interest,” said the Lyon president.
