Twitters saying that Milner and Ings are both basically already signed with a fresh bid going in for Clyne.

Makes me think Rodgers is certainly keeping his job.

Term I think Milner was the youngest ever goalscorer in the Premier League at 16 at one point.

Didn't we try signing him before, before City got him?

I vaguely remember something about it. Ings, Milner and Clyne would be good signings but for me we still need some experienced quality and that means with these players and our already huge amount of players, there could be many sales also.

Milner will really suit the style Rodgers wants you to play. However he will get older and lose his energy while with you given his age

Numbers 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 11 available for next season.

Some big shoes to fill with those squad numbers

He'll get older? You don't see that often these days. What the hell is Ayre doing signing someone that's going to get older?

Tom Werner coming here looks like just going through the motions. Judging from our apparent activity in the market Rodgers will Deffo stay seeing as we are after the same targets we have been linked with for ages now. If we can't get Klopp or Ancelloti then Rodgers should stay which looks to be the case. He will be under pressure though and if the coming season starts like the one just gone then he may very well be gone far before Christmas.

Milner was done months ago I reckon.

The media have been running it for ages and ages.

I'd be amazed if Rodgers went tbh. It just doesn't feel like it's going to happen. Either way, I'm glad it's going to be sorted out by the end of the week. It'll stop all the uncertainty, which is no good for the club when it comes to trying to sign players.

However, despite various sources linking the Frenchman with Liverpool club president Jean-Michel Aulas trashed the rumours.
“The latest rumours are trash,” Aulas said on Twitter. “Liverpool have never called Lyon about Lacazette and without playing in the Champions League they have neither the money nor [would they be] able to interest him.”

That's in response to Lacazette to Liverpool rumours. We need to get our sheet in order. We are sinking fast.

Seem to remember just about every club chairman babbling on about different things before they're best player leaves.

Simple thing is this.

MONEY TALKS AND BÛLLSHIT WALKS!

How on earth does this frog know how much Liverpool have to spend? The new tv deal kicks in and we've got commercial deals coming out of our arsé. We could also genre rat money through sales and the one thing that comes in 99% of players minds is.

"How much you gonna pay me"

Kolo
Genre rat
But still people don't talk about big clubs like that. He also said we wouldn't interest him.

"BR needs the chance to have total control over spending, then he really will have no excuses."

But we really cant afford to go more backwards than we already have.

Suarez was exactly the same, he was scoring goals in a lower league and moved to us who had no European football.

It depends who goes in for him and if it was between us or Chelsea then we'd be out on our ear but can you really see Lyon not excepting a bid of what they want from a club not in the champions league?

But you cant take last season away....also Rodgers first season, we actually had an idea of what he was trying to do and then Coutinho & Sturridge took us a level up.

This past season has been an shambles...bar December to end of Feb. Those months is the only reason i have some faith left in Rodgers, because he showed that he can alter the squad, formation and tactics a bit to get to his style of play again when things looked lost and the pressure was on him. If he can do that on a consistent basis, with a settled squad and not losing vital players then we could see a repeat or something similar to the level that we reached the season we came second.
