Why is everyone so eager to point blame though

Why cant we just accept that collectively we messed up (which should really be reserved because most of the talent is still potential) and correct our mistakes and reassess our approach to transfers. Its not like it hasnt been happening before the committee was put in place.

For me its more about the club instilling a style of play that will stay here far longer than any manager and the club having a formula that correctly identifies which players fit that style of play.

Something like what Barca have if you get me.

I see the person who runs the duel accounts of ARE and shortlight are on form this morning!

Why would the scouts get the blame for the signings of well established players like Balotelli, Lovren, Lallana etc?

The scouts gave a glowing report on those 3...apparently those scouts who gave the yes on the Southampton lads were sacked in November

I like Lallana so no one should be sacked there

Whoever scouted Lovren should be dipped in sugar water and covered with fire ants before being sacked

I think Rodgers should be reprimanded for misusing Balo, not the scouts blamed.

Can't blame Rodgers for how bad Balotelli has been.

I doubt Rodgers told Balotelli to shoot from sixty yards every time he gets the ball or to not make runs.

and what about Lovren, Markovic, Lambert, Borini, Allen, Aspas, Alberto?

I'll let Brendan off for Balo, I would be very surprised if it was his decision to sign him, particularly after he said we wouldn't.

Can't defend all those listed above though. They were his choices, in a number of cases we paid well over the odds for them. All absolutely shocking signings.

Lallana had a mixed season too and the jury is still out, some good matches but not enough for a player of his experience and age.

He's not that type of player...yet only a select few of the fans and Rodgers cant seem to see this, yet most of us could see it after a handful of appearances.

With Balotelli you either accept what he is, and set the team up accordingly to get the best out of that.

Or you leave him out.

Rodgers spent half the season trying to change him, with disastrous results. Then reverted to the leave him out method, with improved results.

Then inexplicably brought him back towards the end of the season, and in our biggest game against Villa when 1-1 at HT, and for some reason expected different results to the first half of the season.

I dont blame him for putting Balo on in the fa cup semi, he was one of our better players in that second half actually and would have had always equaliser if not for a very poor offside decision.

The defence was mediocre in the game and couldn't deal with Benteke. Our main downfall was that our midfield for absolutely dominated, Gerrard Allen and Henderson all had their poorest games of the season, Coutinho poor and Sterling woeful.

People act like Balotelli can't play up front on his own, or learn to, despite being young, strong, good in the air, pacey and with a good touch.

The guy's a douche.

Let's be honest the vast majority of us were actually delighted when Balotelli signed and even more happy when we beat Spurs 3 nil at WHL. Went downhill after unfortunately but did we really play to his strengths?

He doesn't play to his own!
