"You ever been in a team talk?"

Plenty.
Even given some myself.

And you still think that they have that much effect? Really? In my experience you go through a few bits of tactics and odd bits of positioning, some set piece stuff and every so often a bit of "come on lads get your foot in."

I really don't think eleven adults performances are effected by some words that much on such a consistent basis but maybe you're right.

Maybe Rodgers controls minds.

I don't think I've ever seen coaches let go without the manager.

What odds on Rodgers going?

posted on 5/6/15

United let go loads of coaches and assistants whilst Fergie was manager didn't they?

Normally when coaches etc are let go it's along with the manager. I've don't really remember a time when coaches were let go and the manager soon after.

I don't know whether they sacked them. Mcclaren, Quiroz and Kidd went into management didn't they?

Think you have it the wrong way round. Usually the manager goes and then it's announced his backroom staff are also leaving. I've said all along I don't think Rodgers will be leaving this summer and I'm not seeing anything to change my mind.....

Who comes in on the coaching staff then?

Think we'd all be happy with Sami as assistant but would he want it?

Who could be DOF?

posted on 5/6/15

Sami is in our hearts, but wasn't his time as a manager clouded by a poor defensive record? Didn't Moyes' mob batter Leverkuesen home and away?

I honestly don't know where to look. At the risk of losing what tiny shred credibility I may have on here...........McLaren as a number 2?

Mcclaren is a proven winner and many on here want that.

I've nothing against McClaren actually, he's always done alright as a club manager. Which is why I don't think he'd want to be a no2....

Di Matteo as coach. He won the Champions League.
