I have no problems going into next season with the same squad, however the issue is the AFCON. I don't see how we can be without those three players for potentially a couple of months.

AFCON is a game changer. FSG need to get chequebook out.

I don't see why we'd only be limited to cheap deals. I'm sure by the time the transfer window opens the club will know where it stands and therefore what funds are available. If the right player/s becomes available, the club will go for them. That's what has happened so far, so I don't see that changing.

I was just chatting with a palace season ticket holder at work about tonight, he thinks we will find it hard to break them down but will nick it by the odd goal.
Will be standard lots of possession and probing from us while they try hit us on the break.

As long as Lovren does not play we will be okay and win 2-0.

I was thinking earlier, I wonder if the pandemic may cause this year's Club World Cup to not go ahead. This one was due to be the final edition in its current format, before starting as a 24 team format next summer, and happening every four years. But that of course will be postponed due to the Euros. So I guess there is a slight possibility that we might be world champions for at least a couple of years

Palace have kept clean sheets in all of their last 4 PL games. Hodgson has got them really well organised to park the bus and pinch a goal on the counter or from a set piece.

That, add in the heat factor and lack of crowd, wouldn’t surprise me at all if it is a struggle. We’ll need to take our chances and not give away a soft goal ourselves.

Won 4, drawn 2 and lost 4. Two of those games were against Chelsea and City again though. Looks worse cos they managed to lose to Norwich, Burnley and Saints in that time.
