This is exactly why I'd be so surprised for Ronaldo to go there.
United are a good team but City are miles ahead of everybody else and if I were Ronaldo I'd want a guarantee of trophies at his age.
if city do miss out they have a free run at haaland next summer
I don't know why but I almost get the feeling that City have had Utd's pants down here by forcing their hand with a club legend.
oo its all a trick, very smart city, very smart indeed
City did look very open against Spurs. I don't think City is that good without a clinical striker.

I've got similar feelings to this as well, I can't see it being as much of a guaranteed success as everybody would be made to believe.
I'm not suggesting he will flop or not do well, but it's whether he does as well as what would meet the eye.
Think Ronaldo, even at his age, makes United a stronger team than us, even with McFred in midfield.
Fernandes, Sancho, Ronaldo, Cavani, Rashford, Pogba.
There's a very very good side there with arguably the best player of all time playing for them.

I said arguably.
It's a very good side and they've added quality and experience in Ronaldo and Varane and quality and promise in Sancho, they've bought well.
I still think the base of the midfield will let them down though, it's arguably the most important part of the pitch.

We are at serious risk of standing still and when everyone around you is spending 100s of millions on new signings, that means going backwards. Unforgivable what FSG have done.
