As long as its not Fab at the back. That is the worst option out of the lot.

I'd have Fabinho over Phillips also. This is literally the worst game Phillips could play in. He's fine against big lumps that teams continously cross in at but he's not great when there are runners, dragging players around.

I'd go Fabinho too I think. Phillips is mince.

Fab has been crap in midfield this season as well, so hardly as if we are losing much in that department.

Fab was mince when they beat at 4-1 at home. Haaland dominates every possible battle against Fab

Phillips will do okay because he won't have to worry about Trent at right back. At least when it comes to heading it will be 50/50 against Haaland.

But Phillips is such a poor passer of the and City set such good traps I don't see too many headers being needed to be won really. It'll all be on the deck.

I’m not sure it matters who’s at CB, either has the potential for carnage. Just got to hope they’re just being cautious with Konate and he actually plays.

If not we just need our front line to all have the game of their lives and outscore Haaland et al

They will press Phillips from all angles to cut his passing options off and this will result in him playing long balls all day long. Matip would hsce been the better selection against City as he is good at breaking the press with his dribbling. We need Darwin upfront if we play Phillips.

These left backs not playing right back is always bizarre. Tsimikas has a decent right foot on him for a left footer but it's never considered.

No point in worrying about defence in this game. Doesn't matter what formation we play we will concede goals.

I'd just stick with what people are calling 424. With Firmino behind Nunez. Thiago and Hendo in the middle. Fab at CB and Gomez at RB, he was great vs Rangers.
