I’m struggling to see where he fits otherwise. The type of player we seem to be targeting - high energy, high press - would mean our approach would need to change when Fab plays in midfield. I can see him replacing Matip as 3rd choice CB.

Its Hendo who is in trouble cos we are not looking at any 6s.

Mac we know is a 8/10 while Kone and Thuram are both 8s and not DMs. Looks like we will continue with Fab and Hendo as the 6s.

Ok. I don’t know these players at all, but what I’d read of Kone I thought he was very much a #6

Hes like Kante. Not a DM but will get all over the pitch.

Pep and Klopp might have other ideas with him if we get him and move him to 6.

Thuram would be wasted at 6. He has Yaya vibes about him. Can't stop him if he finds space.

Fab will be better if he has legs next to him. What really exposed him was the fact Henderson’s legs went in the same season. Get a Thuram or Kone and it will ease the burden on him significantly.

Kash is right though, he’s far too slow to be a centre back, particularly in this system, it would be horrific viewing.

That footage of Anthony Taylor getting attacked at the airport is shocking. What sort of person would even contemplate doing that when he’s got his wife and daughter next to him?

Not saying it’s what I’d do but I do wonder. I said a couple of months back (before the upturn in form tbf) that I’d sell if a decent offer came in and I still would.

Bit crazy we’re taking about a horror show in terms of pace at CB but he’s one of our starting CMs!

I think my favourite ever Utd player is Phil Jones. Took millions out of the club and all he gave back were some truly odd gurning faces.

So those 4 mentioned here are doing the rounds micky VDV, Thuram, Kone and MacA. Liverpool fans asked for their thoughts a lot saying stuff like average no ambition . Who do they genguinely want/expect us to sign?

Same people prob said/thought Firmino/Salah/Mane/Alisson/VVD etc were average. Maybe they are/were its on us to help them reach their potential then no?

Not often we've signed players already peaked, Thiago, Milner, Shaqiri? So again who do people expect us to be signing? Bellingham, obviously top 4 and the fact Real are very interested makes that very different too, dont remember other than VVD and City were any of our signings wanted by power houses?

Those 4 would be a really good window

Messi and Benzema are available. We should be all over that
