I don’t buy the “we won’t be able to replace Salah” excuse.
We never replaced Coutinho, we bought VVD and Ally and transformed ourselves from Top4 challengers to completing club soccer.
£175-200m is crazy money to turn down.

We'll get the same offer next summer. Even if we wanted to use the Salah cash to sign a quality centre back, it's too late.

There's no better RWF in the world. Footballing wise it would be an awful decision to sell him.

Backfired badly last time they tried that when we smashed their Newcastle with 10 men. Was perfect. This will only fire Salah up and we might want to keep him next summer as well. Surely we won't be selling him if he scores 30 goals and leads us to glory.

The coutinho comparison is surely a bit off? That money then was wild and allowed us to made record bids for a GK and defender. In today's market having sold Salah for 175-200 we wouldn't get 2 players of that quality. For example it just about gets you caicedo and lavia....

I’d say not for sale, full stop. If we sell him now then it’s potentially going to ruin our season, so it’s just not worth it.

Purely from a financial perspective you’ve got to consider the worth of Salah to the Saudi league, and those figures will be astronomical. 250-300m probably isn’t unreasonable in that climate.
