I don't like that you've lost the home and away game against the same team. Always felt the second group game had a bit of an edge to it depending on how the first one went.

But I guess it does remove a lot of the dead rubbers and the guaranteed 6 points when you get Accrington Stanley or whoever drawn into your group from Pot 4.

You could say it's a middle ground between a straight KO style competition and still keeping some sort of league format...but again the devil will be in the details

Isn't there an issue with the difficulty of the 4 home and away games?

If £12m Chiesa is our Salah replacement…

Let's see how he plays first before judging him by his price tag eh? We spent £8m on Coutinho and he was our best player for years.

Whoever we get to replace Salah, won’t be as good as Salah. He’s the best RWF in world football.
