Benteke too, who has apparently got a knee problem. Origi has injured his thigh.

Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill has joked that "uglier" wives and girlfriends will not be allowed to visit the squad during Euro 2016.

O'Neill, 64, was asked at a news conference on Thursday if his players' partners would be welcomed at the team base in France.

"I think it depends on how good looking the girls are really," said the former Aston Villa and Celtic boss.

"If they're really attractive, they're very, very welcome."

Volland has been highly touted for a while. Looked good for Germany U21's last summer.

Versatile attacker comfortable (properly comfortable) out wide right or down the middle. Knows Firmino and Can already too and available for fairly cheap price. I could see that happening.

Kostic I have only really heard of this season. Has good stats for crossing but never seen him play and we are not really a crossing team. Seems less likely that one.

Don't see much in the Alario talk either. Wouldn't get a work permit I doubt as not a proven international.
