To be fair I'd assume at least half of that covers the cost of a half time pie and chips
These caaants were randomly chosen from a ST ballot and would rather sell it. Give it to the other ST holders if that's their attitude. If I was lucky enough to get a ticket I wouldn't sell it for £800, the memories I'd get from a potential arsenal cup win are worth far more to me than the shíte I would spúnk that cash on

To be fair some of them may just be unable to make the game. Though knowing our ST holder demographics I suspect you're correct about the majority that are selling.
"To be fair some of them may just be unable to make the game."
That's fine but sell them at face value.
Ripping off your fellow fan is disgusting especially when they're probably complaining (and rightly so) about be bled dry by the club.

Exactly. I'm fairly sick of people moaning about high prices and being ripped off only to turn around and do the exact same thing when the opportunity arises. This country is full of hypocrites.
My cousin is a season ticket holder but he is off to a wedding. Sold me his for what he would have bought it for £70....
Of course they will sell it for as much as possible, this is the real world.
I went to FA Cup Final when it was still in Cardiff with several mates all ST holders of many years. One mate sold his ticket to landlord of the B&B we stayed in for £300. He stayed in the pub all afternoon watching the game on TV and got completely W&nK3r£d on champagne
Hull was still selling tickets for the final last week from there box office only the £100+ ones I know a few people who drove up there to get them
Why don't clubs put a stop to it, it would be easy to do. You just make season ticket allocation seats for large events NON TRANSFERRABLE. Job done.
If you get a Cup final ticket and you're not going, then you must return your allocated seat to the club for resale. Never bought a season ticket so I don't know what's done but at point of purchase, you should have to name "Alternate Users" only being allowed to name people from your household (who would in turn have to sign up to some sort of club membership to activate their right to use your spot).
You will always get the "shady" few" that will still find a way to scam it, because that's how those people make a living. But this would put an end to the opportunists who just get lucky and get a ticket and decide to use their luck to rinse some poor sod who just wants to watch his/her team play.
