Looks like progress. Let's hope so anyway.
Perhaps fans holding off from buying season tickets has had an effect.
Possible compromise by the looks of it. No holding my breath though.

----------------------------------------------------------------------Not holding my breath either gus, far too many ups and downs in the whole saga. Hopefully few heads have been banged together and we can all get back to supporting the club.
Looks very good I was half expecting it to say further down "but we told them no we want full security"
What a crazy idea, get sat round table and talk it through instead of statement after statement from both sides. Definitely early days but hopefully a wee glimmer of hope... I think we're due it

that's what I was expecting with a no surrender added for effect
It's good that the uof have finally accepted that security was impossible.
Looks like potentially the compromise I was hoping for is at least being considered by both sides

this shows the fans have power
all we wanted was a compromise and a working relationship and so far it seems to have finally been realised by Wallace
the fact that sales are so poor that its not just fans in with UOF who are not happy and don't trust the board.
some of the pro board fans and blind cheerleaders like hillbilly are the ones who'd find a member of our board in bed wi their wife and their reaction would be to tuck them in

UoF should ask to see the deeds before accepting any promises. But, it is progress....at last.
Lets drop the angst a bit now eh??
People saying the baord have caved in by talking to the Union of Fans.
the Union of Fans have caved in if they are willing to give the season ticket money without the security over Ibrox that they have been demanding.
Whats happened here is good.
The board are acting in a manner that is best for the club, talking with the most outspoken fan group leading the charge for non-renewal of season tickets.
See folk still having a go at the board coz they havent spoken to the UoF earlier.
The Union of Fans is not the entire Rangers support, they are a faction, nothing more, and the board should not just converese with any set of fans willy nilly at the drop of a hat.
The UoF movement has gained such momentum that the board now need to act, that is all that has happened here.
I am grateful that the Union of Fans have put this pressure on the board, but it was clear from the outset that security over Ibrox was never going to be granted to them and I applaud them now willing to discuss other terms
The season ticket deadline is tomorrow, from my own point of view, its good to see the board trying to come to a compromise on this before that deadline so some fans may be able to keep their seats in the ground.
This is good progress from both sides, and most of all, good for the club

considering whats happened to our club before, then the board were idiots not to agree to a discussion much sooner, remember it was the board actions and flippant attitude towards the fans that resorted to the call for withholding ST money
also, the discussion topics were serious, no "are we signing novo and boydy again"
we are talking about the very foundations of the club
serious stuff and deserved time and interaction
