The DFP article http://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/doncaster-rovers/doncaster-rovers-several-contracted-players-set-to-leave-1-6619622
...is interesting. One might question the thinking and wisdom behind the get-out clauses which were written into the Contracts. No doubt it meant that players were willing to sign up because of the this option, but it betrays a lack of confidence or ambition on the part of the Board/Manager.
Just remember what good old DickOff said, hes got very good connections, so expect around 10-15 new players signing for our push back into the championship. ......... Cos we're guna need em
Or more likely that it is standard practice when players and agents agree contracts with clubs these days.
Lets not start all the manager bashing again eh.
Albi: I guess you'd better delete BVZ's and my comments then.
Quite a sad comment that one donaldo, really.
Actually, i agree with BVZ - we are going to need about ten new players because there will be plenty of the current squad who wont want to play in League One.
At least this year, whatever we think of him, the manager will have quite a lot of time to try and put together an affordable squad of players with the capability of dragging us out of this division.....upwards. Add a dash of cash, a soupcon of luck and we can look forward to a season of tasty treats.
Afternoon chaps.
Out of the players who are obviously out of contract and are free to go subject to negotiations personally I'd keep Turnbull (extremely unlikely) Copps, Cotts, Keegan, Maxted.
Wakefield, Peterson and Middleton can go.

Strange that we had the worst defence in the league last year but both of our full backs are being considered by Championship/premiership clubs - Quinn and Husband - I assume McCoobe has gone and hopefully Jones will be ready for the new season in league 1 -it is his level
To be fair with the manager, YD, there can be no excuses for a poor season.
There will be no silly TO,
we will have a team that gets a pre-season,
A full squad ready for the season.
Now is the time to judge him not after that fiasco of a season.
Can Johnsie and Mc Coombe recover to be our CB's it would be nice but highly unlikely. Lets get this season going.
The Belles won today beating Watford 2-0 and still top of the league.
Alex: That reads like a poem; you ar so kind hearted towards the leader.
I'm not so sure. You could say that despite decent defenders and two excellent goalkeepers, someone (and his management team) didn't get the organisation quire right.
I don't know where Johnsie came from must be the first new signing of the season?
Just a matter of time before number 26 gets snapped up by a prem/champ club
