Which player will shock you

"i watched both games against wales, scotland and macedonia in the qualifiers."

You watched 90 minutes of Belgium vs Macedonia?

Okay... leaving that to one side...

... I believe Fellaini looked okay against Crystal Palace for United this year.

Understand what I mean?

Sorry Bob,Fellaini just dont have the attributes required to be a decent DM. He could be decent against a weak opposition but gets found out every time he comes up against a strong midfield.

He could be decent as a no10 though but we should avoid that tactic like the plague.

Palace are an average prem side at best.

Wales are an average International side at best.

Hardly rocket science.

Belgium - overrated and will probably go out in the quarters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wouldn't say Belgium are overrated at all. Considering the tournament is in Brazil and the strength of the host nation, Argentina, Germany, Spain, Holland and there relative inexperience at major international tournaments.

Going out in the quarter-final is probably what is expected of them.

palace came back from 3-0 down against liverpool, they are hardly an average side under Pullis.

If you want to debate the meaning of average, then so be it. But they won't be finishing top half in the prem anytime soon.

That aside, you feel that because Fellaini played well against Scotland, Wales and Macedonia, he's in line for a good world cup and will do well for Man Utd.

I think we can all make our own judgements regarding that opinion.

I don't know which player will "shock" me.
------------------------
shock :
(the emotional or physical reaction to) a sudden, unexpected, and usually unpleasant event or experience:
Her mother's death came as a great shock - it was so unexpected.
It was such a loud crash - it gave me/I got quite a shock.
It was a shock to see her looking so ill.
I was in (a state of) shock for about two weeks after the accident.
UK The French suffered a shock defeat (= completely unexpected defeat) by the Italian side at the weekend.
----------------------------
If I said (for example) Luke Shaw it would not actually be a shock if he performed really well, since I suggested he may do so

As I said, we can all make our own judgement.

Personally, I think the idea that if a player plays well against Wales, Scotland and/or Macedonia then he will do well for Man Utd and will do well at the World Cup (which none of those teams have qualified for), is laughable.

But each to their own.

Robb also watched Fellaini against Arsenal and he did well there.

You guys just cannot appreciate Fellaini's mercurial football skills

Shola Ameobi

But in reality Victor Moses and Mikel could have good world cups. They usually perform for Nigeria

Also Fellaini hasn't been that good for Belgium and would be surprised if he even starts. I believe their prefererd starting midfield 3 is Dembele-Witsel-Chadli. There'll be rotation about Dembele and Chadli though.

Ah yes, the old 'I'm entitled to my opinion' line.

In my opinion, there is a planet made of cheese that will become Earth's main source of food in the year 2511.

Just because you have a different opinion doesn't mean I'm wrong.
