I hope she didn't get hurt when she knocked her head on the steering wheel.

What's that jasper carrot line when he's asked of additional info on his accident claim form?

"....I noticed she was a sad-faced old lady as she slid down the windscreen of my car...."

i recently spent a cupla weeks in italy and im frankly astonished anyone lives past the age of 30.... even my missus can drive better than most italians.

ride a motorbike or scooter, no lid and sending a text- why on earth would that be illegal eh? and as for those funny orange lights on the corners of cars- any idea what they do at all?

Kernow, I have no clue how I survived Palermo last week, I have no words to describe the insanity on the roads. They certainly kill more people that way than by any shots fired in anger by Italians in the Second World War! I have lost count of the times I've screamed out of the window: " why don't you sell your f€cking indicators? You never f€cking use them!"

previous time i was in italy i drove my transit through florence (the city, not woman) and there was a scooter rider lying in agony in the road with cars driving inches away from him shouting abuse for being in the way- of course absolutely no-one was prepared to help the bloke as this wouldnt have been macho and might mess their hair up.
G8 country? -your havin' a larf. its like india without the dysentry or cows in the road.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I lived in Paris for 2.5 years. First time at the 8 lane roundabout at the Arc de Triomphe with 14 or so exists was enough to put you off driving for life. By the time I left it was just like a fairground ride. Although I would never, ever drive a scooter or motorbike there. That is a death sentence.

That's why pavements seem to be reserved for scooters and motorbikes in Paris!

Went to a wedding in Naro a few years ago. They brought all the overseas guests from a hotel in Agrigento in a bus and parked it in the square, leaving two-wheeled motorists scattered across the island. Respect to the bus driver though

I'm heading over to Belgium in a few weeks - I understand they drive on the right there. I think I'll have a practice driving down the M1 to Wembley to see how it feels.
