Arsenal were not in contention, I think if Wenger is going to have a real future at Arsenal they will need to at the start of the season forego one or two tournaments and focus on one of the big ones.
Other than that Arsenal will never be considered a top team again but only a stepping stone club. Even now I look at the Arsenal team and anyone with abit of talent I can see leaving for bigger and better clubs.

Absolute rubbish Arsenal are the biggest club in London and third biggest club in the country behind United and Liverpool. Only both these sides have won the league championship more times. Arsenal is a club built on tradition and class and has a history that dates back a lot longer than the last 10 years unlike some other clubs.
