I thought Nokia moved to Android?
Android and OSX seem like far more sensible choices than Windows, I can't really see it lasting or competing.
I got the 920 when launched, and I love it.
It took digging around in settings to change simple things like turning wifi on. - There are apps that put those settings on the start screen
- live tiles, while a nice idea were pretty much pointless, so few developers bothered with them. - Most apps have live tiles now.
- apps like Facebook and Whatsapp were awful, slow and sometimes unusable. - WhatsApp works great now, Facebook is still a little slow, but no more than I've seen it on andriod an ios.
- There was no YouTube app - no official app due to the feud with Google etc. It works fine in the browser, and there are loads of 3rd party apps that work great. Actually, the 3rd party apps sometimes work better than the official. Metrotube is the one I use for Youtube.
8.1 is being released in the next couple of months, so I would suggest looking at it on Youtube. If you're a halo fan, you'll love it.
Just get an iPhone and you won't have those problems.

Really? Ok if you say so.
Great phone. A bit too big for my tastes. IPhones are hilariously outdated in comparison.
To answer your question windows phone 8.1 solves the settings issue as you have a customizable action centre which drags down from the top.
All of the apps on my home screen have live tiles and all the main apps have been updated. There's still no official YouTube app but the browser has seen vast improvement so the site is good and there are plenty of unofficial apps.
The Cortana personal assistant is pretty cool, as is the new swipe keyboard which is something iPhone doesn't have.
Finally, Microsoft have finally unified the app base so developers can create one app across windows phone, windows and Xbox.
Thank you my good people. Haven't really looked at 8.1 so hopefully be a few nice surprises for me. Seems like Microsoft have solved the major problems I had. Can't wait now

maybe not but it would present you with another , different, set of problems
You can get 8.1 now as a Developer Preview (just google it), bu if you want to use Cortana, have to set your phone as US. The developer preview is basically the update but released for developers to test apps on. THOUGH, UK update is next and then China.
I've bee using it for a few days now and it does sort out a lot of the problems with WP.

If anyone wants it now. It updtes your phone a few times before you get the actual 8.1 but you got to try updating it a few times.
There is a downside. I don't like xbox video. So I've got an app for that.
