----------------------------------------------------------------------
Midtable is anywhere from 3rd - 17th these days
And no it's not a joke, we are the biggest team in the country, top 3 will be the minimum.
------------------------------------------------------------------
You sound like Liverpool fans, being the biggest club in the country doesn't count for chit if your not doing it on the pitch, and looking at this season and the amount of work that has to be done there, you may have a long wait to get back in the CL.
Sorry LFC fans, not trying to WUM you, just using you as a example.

No need to get defensive, this season was a mere blip for us. We will be back challenging again this coming season. Don't be too disheartened though I can see you maybe winning the league cup (so you've hint another massive parade to look forward too) and pushing Liverpool close for 4th.
our wait to be in the cl will be about 15 months
-------------------------------------------------------------
You hope?
AFC has a point, plenty of us LFC fans thought all we needed post Rafa and Roy was a fe wplayers and we woudl be straight back in.
didn't happen though.

I've not been defensive or disheartened at all. Everything your saying is hopeful, you hope LVG comes in and does and good job, your hopeful you sign decent players, your hopeful you make the CL.
We're fine mate, in the CL,have a trophy, a solid manager and the same money to spend as you lot on players but dont need as much surgery, so i'm more than ok about my team.

I would agree with you, but then I look at our team compared to what you had and it's a million times better. A few players is all that's needed.
Thank you for your concern OP. It is important to note that even Moyes beat your sorry lot.

Really, you need a new back four, 1 defensive mid and about 2 wingers. Is that about right, do you think you need more or less?

And we could get all that if we wanted, however we don't need that many players. A few and we will be back challenging. You will have to spend upwards to 100 million to stay in touch with us, city and Chelsea. And we all know that won't happen because Wenger won't spend the money and the top players won't go to you because your club has a losers mentality.
You will have to spend upwards to 100 million to stay in touch with us, city and Chelsea
----------------------------------------------------------
WTF are you talking about, staying in touch with a team that is 7th.You do know, that you finished below us,everton and Spurs.
I can see you upset about your team, but this crazy arrogance that your going to be in the top 4, only because your club is called Man U, has to stop. Since SAF has left no one is scared of your team anymore, (apart form AFC), therefore nothing is guaranteed.
So Arsenal won the FA cup, so see them again in 2023 at this rate
Zees is the team that won the FA cup.
Bye-bye to new signings and Hello to "like-a-new-signings" e.g. Abu Diaby, Kalstrom etc.
good luck for next seasons
It's not just a case of a few players though.
If Fergie was still manager then that's all it would require as the style etc is ingrained in the team already.
But a new manager, new players, new coaches and a new stuyle to implement, that aint comign together in 3 weeks of pre season.

You seem very frightened by our impending and glorious revival under Van Gaal. However you shouldn't concern yourself too much with us, we will be well out of your grasp in fact Iwill be amazed if we don't finish at least 15 plus points ahead of you. Liverpool and Everton and maybe even Tottenham are the teams that you should be more concerned with.

I'd agree with this, thats why I think this season is sorely based around the groundwork for future success.
Getting CL football is the major aim.

Fortunately we have no CL, which gives him more time to implement his methods on the training ground.
I suspect we will have a slow start but will get better

exactly, small steps are required.
I only say this as Brendan recently said it was very difficult to implement his ideas on the first team with such a short pre season in his first season due to the Euros.
LVG has allot to do but seems like a good appointment. Just don't think it's goign to be as straightforward as some united fans are making it out to be.

I think some United fans are going to be shocked next season that the players who are generally regarded as carp will possibly still be involved at the club ie Young,Valencia,Anderson,Buttner and so fourth.
Things are certainly not going to change overnight.
