And although the games you mentioned aren't bad, except graphics the ps3 has comparible games that game play wise are better, as yet there has been no true next gen title just more between the 2, but hey we are just in phase 1 and this is to be expected

We were never going to get a true next gen game in the first year. Hopefully by the end of next next year or the beginning of 2016 we should really start to see what the PS4 is capable of.

I don't know what to make of watchdogs. The hype around it seems to be quite big but I can't tell if that's just because it's been delayed half a year. Might pick it up once it's dropped below 30

I haven't paid much attention to the consoles, but the impression I get is that they have been very underwhelming Is this true?

If you do any type of gaming it was always clear that we wouldn't see the technological advances we had from say ps1 >> ps2 and then ps2 >> ps3, it just isn't there even in the PC world. PC world now is all about 4k and 1000 frames a second. The biggest difference will prob be a new console in 3-4 years rather than 7.

I haven't checked (got a smart TV so everything has been going through it) but a friend mentioned that the ps4 isn't as robust as the ps3 when it comes to media pkaying , he said some streaming stuff isn't available, but it does support dnla

The Order 1886 is the one reason I'm tempted to get a PS4. Common sense tells me to wait until it's actually released before buying a £400 console based on one game.

Just wanna say, PS+ is a crock! The "free" games aren't free at all. Basically you are paying $10 a month to rent them. If you cancel your subscription at any time the game goes with it. No longer valid even if you have bought dlc/add-ons. So in all if you get a free game and play it all year you've basically paid $100 for a game

Sorry rtm but what u say is tosh mate - yes it is renting it but what do you pay £40 a year? So thats what less than what you pay for Netflix? And let's be honest how many games do you play for more than a year? Add to that you get 6 games a month at least so that is over 60 a year that makes ps+ very reasonable. Now consider you need it for ps4 mp and add to that a vita as well and quite frankly you are laughing

I would never had played Far Cry 3 had it not been on PS+ but I'm enjoying playing through it at the moment.

You need it to play online multiplayer, yes.
One game a month. Resogun is always accompanying it.
