It was decided once we could no longer produce any good ones since around 10 years ago.

Does anyone even know what this years is? I honestly can't remember one since Ant and Dec, they've been so unmemorable.

"We're on the ball"?? Are you serious? That theres a good enough reason to hate world cup songs in itself.

Worst had to be DJ Otzis "Heeeey baby" world cup 2002 remix mainly down to the awful corny video.

And "Vindaloo" was good for the time but spoilt by balding beer bellied thugs who sang it while smashing up the streets of France in 1998 while embarrising the whole nation.

The general public don't care about international football any more.

Simon cowell has a monopoly on the charts,he only does boy/girl bands, and beyonce immitations.

Say what you like about We're on the Ball, but at least it related to football.

Bloody Gary Barlow is doing this years

Vindaloo was never fun.

3 lions was brilliant but it was basically that song, following on from the outstanding World In Motion, that killed the footy song.

They were too good and nothing after would ever be as good, so proper bands no longer want to get involved so it's just pop drivel.

Barlow doesn't even strike me as someone that likes football.

Barlow does anything to get his face on telly.

I've gotta say, I'm amazed Baddiel and Skinner haven't redone Three Lions more than once.

And Vindaloo is a great song for the terraces, easy to sing along to.

I'm guessing the craaaap brass band are going to Brazil>?
