Anything that makes odious Gove unhappy must be good but I can't help feeling that putting his testicles in a vice might be more effective.
What is it about Gove that makes the description odious just somehow fit perfectly spart?
The man drove me out of regional education due to his crazy change for changes sake
Crikey, you lefty lot grumble when they are Old Etonians and now you grumble at a chap who came from a poor home and went to a Comprehensive!

I'm neither left nor right these days in fact I'm in the political wilderness with regards this current crop of media friendly public purse thieving bar stewards.
However I have spent quite a few years developing education in the East Midlands to see much hard work thrown out by Gove just for the sake of change for a system that's now worse off for it
However this is a Ram's only week
Apart from the obvious virtues of a decent clean living team of young footballers playing non-violent and highly skilled, free flowing football that has been a delight to watch all season, I have just discovered another very powerful reason why we need to beat the overblown and overspent little club from London.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The premiership is a cesspool of avarice and excess; I fear for simple and kind-hearted little Derby amongst those fatcats. Will you manage to stay clean, or will you join their ranks in the trough?
Already leicester are looking to spend £180 million in three years (that has to be a good 120 million more than even QPR).
What will Derby do?
VC10 Ram,
It maters not where they come from. It's what they do that counts. And Gove has just had a big fun exercise in playing with our kids' education. And mainly to create opportunities for private companies to make a profit out of "running" them.
Gove will be at the match so may be annihilate QPR and spoil his day.
Gove
I don't normally 'hate' as life is too short. But I make the exception for this odious 'reformer' who has not only experimented with the lives of our youngsters - current and those yet to be born - refuses to listen, quotes unsubstantiated facts to push his arguments, will not listen even to the experts in his department and is hell bent on pushhing through a personal vision that does not stand up to scrutiny.
Any of you with kids in mainstream education and those yet to start, need to be very apprehensive.
I could go on but 'education' 'ain't sexy in politics and I'm afraid a substantial number of you lot have sleep-walked into this

Treat that with a little bit of sceptism - the guy was damaged before he came into politics - now he is allowed to ply his fantasies on an education system whi was really doing well.
View,
I spent 6 years leading a team that brought the development of how children were taught into the hands of teachers themselves. Although we piloted in Leicestershire it was very briefly rolled out in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. It allowed for massive improvement in educational standards because it was being driven by actual teachers. Yes radical I know.
Gove destroyed all that hard work in months. Once my hands were tied I quit in spectacular fashion and drove home in floods of tears of which I'm not ashamed to admit.
Since I then I have seen great teachers and literally 100 's of years of experience leave in droves. Which still breaks my heart.
The man is c # n t and I do not use that word lightly.
I those who have stuck it out against his consistent attempts to devalue our educational system.
For the first time in my life and the fact my father will spin in his grave my youngest two may now be privately educated.
Dru - that is horrific.
I 100% emphasise with you.
I too have seen superb practioners of education lost because this man (no, not consensus decisions but just Gove) on his own spiteful, almost vengeful vendetta to mould a system in his own image.
Private education? Yes, you do right because YOUR kids are the most important and they must NOT be sullied by this evangelical refoming wrecker - sullied like the vast majority of school children will be in this country.
And where will he be? DEFRA? Minister for Wales? Speaker? Chancellor? It will not matter to him.
The damage has already been done.
For the first time in my life and the fact my father will spin in his grave my youngest two may now be privately educated.

....and that there sums up the Tory strategy perfectly...absolute shower.
Its a sad reflection that all we did in that time was to allow teachers to be the experts. Yes they had little control of what they taught but we gave them complete control over how they taught it and that made all the difference and the stats backed it up 100%.
I saw the same with Sims.net. Once they stopped direct teacher consultation once Capita got their grubby profit driven hands on it it became more and more useless.
There was not a single mention of such reform in the Tory manifesto. Likewise Cameron said the NHS was safe in his hands - ha bloody ha. They promised not put up taxes and then increased Vat from 15% to 20%. Now the BBC will be emasculated by request of Rupert and soon Scotland will reverse 300 years of history to split the UK. Then we'll get another Tory government and lose the in/out referendum losing hundreds of thousands of jobs.
In my lifetime I've seen some government shambles created by both parties but nothing this bad. And we are sleep walking towards it, led by The Sun and the Times, the Torygraph, the Mail and the Express. They say the electorate gets the government it deserves. You'd better believe it. No wonder the pratt who now runs the NHS badly wanted Rupert to get the remainder of BSkyB and asked his SPAD to take the blame. You could not make it up.
What started out as a wind up as evolved into a political debate. I ope your players take their eyes off the ball in the same way.
RRthedrum are you Michael Gove in disguise?

Worried RR?
We do have Geoff Hoon though, maybe the two of them could have a celebrity death match pre game, just to keep us Romans happy.
Geoff known to everyone as Buff.
We also have Peter Doherty - known to everyone as P-Do.
We will do you boys 3 or 4 - 1 in my view. You beat us at your place and you were shocking that day and that was at your peak whilst we were in crisis. Can't see you doing us at Wembley. Anything could happen though.
