Santi can go missing at times but Cesc often kept the team going when no one else seemed interested
Cesc is probably my favourite player currently playing football, but I love Santi, he's brilliant. Tough question, I'm really not sure. I'd probably hang on to Santi, but I imagine Wenger would still probably feel he can accomodate both, especially as it's not clear for how much longer Rosicky will keep going.
For Cesc I would sacrifice Ozil before Santi... not sure if Cesc and Ozil in the same team would work.
However Santi is much more versatile. He's two footed. However I don't share the same sentimental attachment to him and I'm sure there'd be a host of Spanish clubs after him.
========
I didn't feel any sentiment with Santi either until THAT freekick
Agree with 8bit. Would rather get rid of ozil to accommodate Fab
Wenger won't get rid of Ozil, and has benched Santi for the big games this year like City and Dortmund.
However that free kick though
I know he won't but ozil and fab won't work and if I had a choice, I would pick Cesc all day long
You having a laugh? Get rid of Ozil before Cazorla?
I love Cesc though. He looks a broken player. Might never ever be the same again. Not how we used to remember him anyway.
And how do you know Ozil and Cesc wouldn't work?
Cesc and Ozil need to be at the heart of the team to play their best, just don't see how we could get the best out of both of them in the same team.
I wouldn't sacrifice any of our players for that scu.mbag.
If he's available though, we should go for him, too good a player to miss out on. We could fit in somewhere, probably in a diamond formation.
This Aurier guy we're getting is meant to be really good going forward, maybe he will provide us with better width than Sagna.
8bit we could have Cesc dictating the midfield, Ozil isn't really built for that. He's more of a floater, the guy who plays the final pass.
Szcz
Aurier Mert Kos Gibbs
-------Javi Martinez
----Ramsey-----Fabregas
-----------Ozil
--------Fio ------new striker
So basically esc CM, Ozil AM
According to DJ Aurier isn't very good defensively. He was in the Ligue 1 team of the season.
He's only 21 I think so he can improve defensively, plenty of time. He looks strong in the air and good physically/athletically.
Kam you know we'll stick with 4-2-3-1 though

That is pretty much the dream. As much as I love Cesc, I would be absolutelty elated if we were able to sign Martinez this summer, would be as a good a signing as Ozil.
Cesc would be a benchwarmer if he cameback. He isnt better than Ramsey and Ozil is better too. I wouldnt want that Judas facker starting and unbalancing our team. Let's not forgot our team are winners now you really want Cesc affecting that with his bottling mentality.
Szczesny
Jenkinson
Mertesacker Koscielny
Gibbs
Martinez
Ozil Ramsey
Walcott Chamberlain/Wilshere
Balotelli
What a facking team.

How's Gustavo done at Wolfsburg this season? Any chance we could sign him again?
Should have got him last summer, Arsene should have just said he would be a regular starter.
RGK I know you love Cesc deep down

Here, Kamran's team, actually the first featuring Cesc on here I actually like the shape of. It's a marked change though and would take some getting used to I think, but the great thing about this system is that it doesn't compromise world class players like Ozil. Aurier and Gibbs help to cover the lack of wider forwards, and this system actually gives Wilshere somewhere to slot in long term.
Don't think it'll happen, we're too set in this 4-2-3-1 which I believe gets the best out of absolutely no one atm.
This Aurier better not be another Santos.
