liverpool would probably edge it 2-1
I'm going for a hard fought 0-0, but certainly not a boring one
1-1.
Can Van Persie not play though?
1-1
Van Persie to score a penalty very late on, say 97 mins, but Liverpool win a penalty controversially even later on, say 101 mins. Dirk Kuyt to convert it emphatically and the ref to blow his whistle immediately afterwards
Can't imagine that Chamakh will play. 2-2 draw for me. I think the game could go either way. It depends on how Arsenal deal with Carroll.
Imo, I believe Arsenal will win, they desperatly need to prove something this year and the critics are on them and wengers back big time and I think this will edge them over and it could be 2-1 or 1-0
Liverpool to win 2-0 with Suarez getting a hatrick!
Arsenal look solid at the back, despite the fact they can't hit a barn door with a banjo at the other end of the pitch. And if Pool's finishing versus Sunderland was anything to go by I really don't get people saying Pool to walk it
Really don't see this as a high scorer
Arsenal win. Pool are gunna take a LONG time to gel this season especially if Kenny did what he did last week and throws all the new players in at once. Why'll Arsenal have a serious point to prove.
3-1
0-0 draw, 4 red cards each side
If I remember correctly and based on Liverpool's last game, Kenny Dalglish's teams have always been long ball merchants and a rugby style midfield and defence(dirty stoke style team). Which means that Arsenal will lose as this type of team is their weakness.
If Liverpool go to the hoofball tactics, I have Arsenal edging them 2-1. But if Liverpool pack the midfield and cut the space out, they have a chance to beat them(2-0) or draw at the least(1-1).
Arsenal's defence doesn't look secure to me, and Liverpool have the attacking options to exploit it, especially Carrol's aerial threat.
However without the ball Liverpool look disorganised and vulnerable. Liverpool have alot of new players; it's a cliché, but they do need 'time to gel', and Arsenal are well placed to exploit this weakness.
Arsenal move the ball quickly and retain possession well, and should create many chances against this Liverpool side.
Hence I expect a high scoring game.
So given the home advantage, I'll plump for 3-2 to the Arsenal x
Arsenal 0 - 2 Liverpool.
With players sold and others injured and suspended Arsenal have no midfield.
King Kenny has been buying midfield players for fun.....he will swamp it.
