Spurtle, do you have a flyer proof letterbox in your front door ??
If I didn't clear all the election flyers stuck thru this past fortnight, I could not open the door.

"What a sorry state of affairs that a racist party in the UK could hold the balance of power"

1. Not directly they won't.

But IMHO they will decide which parties take which seats in quite a few places.

2. Well then they have tapped into the 'inner racist' of all demographic groups, and not just the "usual suspects" .

"they have one policy which is "we hate foreigners" and they attract racists from the BNP, EDL and Britain First."

And Labour. And Conservative.

It isn't going away.
Time for some Googlenomics to be done by the ONS on this one methinks.

How exactly are UKIP racist? They have strong policies on immigration but I don't see them as racist.

No I suspect I got the flyers, they must just be hiding under a rubble of postage.

"what the fack is Googlenomics?!"

The incessant data crunching and analytics that Google do to make business decisions. No emotion or sentiment, just the numbers.

There is a lot more on immigration that needs to be thus treated, beyond coarse stats like net migration. Political parties fear it because they may not like the results.

Rightly or wrongly the local and EU elections are seen by people as not being very important. It is an opportunity for the electorate to kick the mainstream parties up the backside which is just about what they've done. They results of the EU elections on Sunday will be interesting I think.

As someone who's pro EU I'm expecting the worst.

"As someone who's pro EU I'm expecting the worst."

If there have been sufficient joint MEP / local council elections happening this time, the Labour MEP lot could be spared slaughter.

The deal with the EU (or the perception of it) is a long way now from the Common Market. Questions will be rightly asked as to where the priorities are in the UK, and who decides those priorities.

Sizzle Spur's Samba Magic

They are full of racists, anti Semites, homophobes, sexists and religious freaks. The lowest of the low in my opinion.

Stop talking about the conservative party like that.
