Anyone will be a fool not to think Cote d'Ivorie won't go far,

So they would be a fool to think the Ivorians will go far?

Anyone will be a fool not to think Cote d'Ivorie won't go far, team breaming full of established top class players at the highest level, and Yaya Toure (who is Premier Leagues best midfielder by a mile) will have that star power effect as a Cristano Ronaldo for Portugal or Zlatan to Sweden.
Bony has had a great 1st season at higher level too. And we Arsenal fans should be looking out for our possible future RB Serge Aurier, who was named in Ligue 1 team of the year, and will most certainly be RB for Ivory Coast.

People have said this every world cup/ACON for the past 4 years.
4years ago they didn't have Premier League's best player, or a Champions League winning legend. This is their year and will be Africa's best team. Bookmark.
Drogba was better 4 years ago...

Have you watched them recently?? They're full of individuals and not really a good team. I think Nigeria smashed them like 4-0 in ACON with all their big players.
Is that why they lost to Zambia in ACON final 2012 and to Nigeria ACON 2013? Drogba is 36 now and not the beast he was. Barely made an impact when we played him earlier in the year.
Ivory Coast are the most overrated team in international football.
Biggest bottlers going. Can't even win the ACON and have never got out of the group stages at the world cup.
i think Ghana will again be the most successful African Nation.
Theyve beaten the USA at the last two world cups and the USA teams of those years looked stronger than this one. In the heat, they could out-run Portugal too, who knows.
They may beat USA, but Germany and Portugal?
No dice.
i was trying to positive for them rather than face 'the truth' which is that none of the CAF sides are really good enough, despite FIFAs desperation for them to compete at the top with best sides from CONMEBOL & UEFA.
They had 6 representatives at their home World Cup in 2010, 5 of them burned at the group stage and Ghana were rather lucky to squeeze through...
Germany will under perform. They're overrated IMO.
Brazil are not from Africa
Ghana were rather unlucky to get knocked out..
I'll bet some African team does better than England.
How's that for a bet?
None will still be in the competition by the quarter finals.
I think Ivory Coast will make it to at least the semi-finals.
1st African winners? Possibly.....
