I think Neymar and Sturridge are good enough because they can play as wingers and inside forwards. We need this versatility - a planB, someone who can only play-wide would be stuck for ideas once defenders know what to do, just look at Bale, Young and Valencia. But players like Nani, Nasri, Ronaldo, Messi and Robben are the best forward/wingers in the world. Why? They are not just your typical wide player, they can do different things for the team as well. The most succesful teams in Europe don't use out-and-out wide players, even United in a 4-4-2 have will always have one of Nani and Park on the wings.

Couldn't agree more, the only worry I would have with those two is there tendency to go it alone a lot of the time, a bit like Malouda who seems resistant to put a cross in.
They are still young however and this can be (to a certain extent) stopped.
If Neymar and Sturridge play there then they will play on the opposite wings, Neymar always plays on the left cutting in and Sturridge would do the same from the right, especially being a natural centre forward.
I would maybe like 1 natural winger for the right to have options, maybe a young english player like Albrighton plus there are players like N'zogbia who could be good options in rotation.
if you;re looking for good wingers worldwide there is Marko Marin, Cazorla, Mata, Hazard, Lavezzi would be good there.
but overall natural out and out wingers don't really exist in the same sense anymore. especially 2 in the same starting 11 I can;t think of a top team that plays 2 wingers
I think that Ashley Young would be an excellent signing for us. A good pacey wide man, with lots of skill, able to take people on and scores his share of goals.
We could do a lot worse......

I would like to see us using Sturridge on 1 wing regulary and hopefully if we sign Neymar he can play on the other wing. The most important thing we need to do is get our new manager in asap.
i think wee need only one winger. I hope we will land either Neymar or Hazard
I would be very tempted to bring in either Young or N´Zogbia to play on the left of a front three.
Sturridge to play on the right with Torres in the middle.
