Mixture of issues really with the biggest one rewarding campers.

Also a hell of a lot of lag that caused all sorts of issues.

If they could just sort them issues out and have more urban battlegrounds then I am sure it would improve ten fold.

Also stop trying to be battlefield!

Never thought I'd say this but if the COD franchise has any future then it lies with Treyarch and not Infinity Ward.

The Infinity Ward COD's have got gradually worse while Treyarch's Black Ops 2 was a definite improvement on the original Black Ops.

If Ghosts is all that Infinity Ward can muster these days then all future control of COD should go to Treyarch.

Scribe, yes it does seem that Ghosts was an attempt to copy Battlefield. Not sure why as I think Battlefieks is far inferior.

Far too many campers and snipers on Ghosts makes it so unenjoyable.

I consider myself a decent COD player but I just seem to constantly get killed on Ghosts multiplayer.

Also have you played Crysis 2 ? Ghosts ripped off a couple of things from them as well.

I have tried to play Ghosts a few times over a few months and have realised that when it comes to online play I only seem to enjoy the games that involve no teamwork whatsoever (Gun game and Infected).

I also think I would have dumped it a long time ago if it wasn't for a few of my mates that seem to enjoy it and drag me on every time they see me online.

Problem is that the competition isn't good enough. I've tried so many other FPS and they're all distinctly average apart from COD.

In fact I've wasted a lot of money trying to find a good alternative and I always come up short.

The likes of Battlefield, Killzone and Crysis all left me underwhelmed, especially the multiplayer.

COD has me by the nuts in that regard so the next one better be better than the piece of crap that is Ghosts.

Superb just do what i have done - stop playing most. Best FPS i have played in a while is Borderlands 2 and that has loads of extra content. CoD has been average for years, BF4 is so bug ridden you cant play it and Crysis quite frankly has been shocking from the start (it only got a rep cos it looked sexy). But as you said there are very few alternatives. Wolfenstein i enjoy a lot but is a one time play through maybe 2 with no MP. If you want a new twitch shooter then you could be in luck as i feel the future will be Unreal! All the other big titles have been pretty underwhelming from Halo 4 to Bioshock.

And you know what regarding multiplayer i have gone back to a 15 year old game! Counter Strike GO imo is currently better than any shooter out there atm, forget all that killstreak bs, proper game based on skill and tactics.

Yes as in the new unreal tournament - the Unreal 4 engine has just been released and there is a new unreal in development which is using this. Basically they are just making the basic game then everything else will be made by the community - map, weapons, game modes etc. Interesting idea, and i think it will work very well.

Simon is that out on ps4 only ?

I haven't played Unreal Tournament since the PS2 days if memory serves me right. Was a good game.

Ah just pc, Mac and Linux....

But nice looking fps which could offer something different are Destiny and Evolve both multi platform

Black Ops 1 is still the best COD for me, still play it from time to time.

Overall the multiplayer element is better on BO2 than it is on BO1, however zombies on BO1 is far, far superior.

If I am MPing its 2, if I want to play zombies it 1.

The thing about COD is that while you always get a tonne of people complain about how easy and awful it is and how all the titles are the same, that's the point, its supposed to be an easy pick up and play game, COD is the game that I can play and enjoy with the misses after I get home from work and we have put the little one to bed.

Its easy to pick up, easy to play and more importantly enjoyable. People moan that its too easy and not enough skill is involved, well yeah, thats the point, its an easy game that everyone can play.

However Ghosts took the worst aspect of any online game "camping" and made it easy to do and difficult to avoid.

Try playing hardcore split screen on Ghosts and you soon give up, its just so unfun.
