Got to say he was without doubt he was the best manager we have ever had unfortunately he was very supersticious
Great article, 5 stars from me.
40 years on, fans of other clubs can still remember our players names.
Everywhere you go, you encounter Leeds fans, its a legacy all of Don Revie's making.
I never forget the story from Gordon Mcqueen that you'll find on the extras of the Damned United.
He talks about Revie telling him on the day that he was going to make his European debut and that he was upset Revie hadn't let him know in advance as he'd have liked his Dad to be there.
Revie replied with a smile ' He's already here'
Such a shame he was taken so early, whenever I hear of Motor Neurone disease I think of Don.
RIP.

Great man management. It's that sort of thing that meant the players gave everything for him.
Fantastic to read about and the clips of some of the football are incredible.
That was his attention to detail Jonty, he looked after everything
The iconic all white strip, his idea, if we get nothing else back lets have that this year.
As for superstitions I think we need to go all white again to start afresh the blue stripe abomination has been an unlucky shirt in my opinion.
As for his teams football:
The cruel but brilliant treatment of Southampton will live forever.
Revie, revered and reviled is a great read,
I guess many of you have read it but for those who haven't
As said above his attention to detail and looking after players and their famalies was second to none.
Johan Cryuff said of Revies team,
When you play Leeds, they make you dance......or was it, When Leeds have the ball, they make you dance.
One of those compliments any way, lol.
never miss a chance, what could have been an opportunity to write a serious article once again missed because of the popular press' long established dislike of Don and Leeds in general.
