The two comments are a bit , but the "own goal" was a clear foul which the ref gave.

- Was about to make an article on this. I would not be surprised if Nigeria are banned after this.

He's literally just thrown it into his own net.

DJ, come on lad, the own goal was nowhere near a foul. He just threw the ball into the net!

Also, SFA were investigating this yesterday, Has to be true

But it was a foul, and the ref gave it as such.

This was not a goal.

He catches the feckin ball and then throws it in!!!!!

Okay, forget the minor details here Dj, he clearly threw the ball into the net.

That is totally shocking.

I don't know what to make of it. Especially Mark Bright's tweet and the 'own goal' which was disallowed.

"Match fixing" tends to be spot fixing rather than scorelines, so I would be surprised if the keeper was 'fixed' to throw one in. Very hard to control a game to finish an exact scoreline, would have required Scotland to concede twice and not score another.
Brights tweet may have just been lucky, how many others tweeted a similar joke with a different scoreline? I would guess a lot, and someone is going to get it right!

I think, firstly, it was a clear foul. And secondly, when such claims as fixing are made people look harder at incidents.

Surprised the actual own goal scored in the match is not under scrutiny.

That keeper should be banned for life. Clearly deliberate, an unnatural movement for a keeper to make.

Unnatural, because he was fouled...

I've never seen a keeper grip the ball with one hand and use his arm to sling it back towards his own net whilst being fouled.

Our 2 centre backs must've been in on it. Big "mistake" for their equaliser.

Tends to be spot fixing...not always. This game was already being investigated before the match had even started, and just been given more proof that it may be fixed.

Are you Nigerian by any chance?

And you think someone in on it would just chuck the ball into his own net? Doesn't seem likely. A lot more subtle ways for a keeper to concede on purpose.

If this match was indeed fixed, it would suggest that players from both sides participated were in on it given that Nigeria were losing 2-1 with a minute to go.

Bench, I have no idea. Just seen the own goal to make it 2-1 to Scotland and nothing seems strange about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptMUWMtJ8ps

I was at the game, that goal was ruled out as it was a foul. Lee Probert was the ref.

Nigeria played a weakened side and brought on the big guns later. For a friendly it was keenly contested and the atmosphere and the banter between both sets of fans was incredible.

There were a lot of games that were investigated for supposed match fixing, where are the articles about those ones?

The keeper you also accuse of match fixing saved a one on one in the game he could have easily let through as well if he was bent.

They were kicking lumps out of the Nigerians. Scott Brown even got a yellow for a tackle that would have been a red if it was not a friendly.

Was a good game, the only Nigerian players I recognised were Yobo, Odemwingie and Moses. Both Moses and Odemwingie came on as second half subs.

I sat at the Nigerian end with a lot of scots and they said that was their 3rd team. If anyone takes them lightly, they will pay a hefty price.

How anyone can dispute that the keeper intentionally threw the ball into the net is beyond it.

Fecking unreal
