This IPL somehow has been quite exciting. Some record turnout as well. I think all the matches were like sold out. Expecting another cracker tomorrow.

Apart from some sensational batting, the IPL showed how effective spinners could be if used properly.

IPL and other T20 should run for minimum 4 months now, as its the premium format of cricket originally. 2 month is too short for league format and also players should be retained like in football leagues so fan and player become loyal.
Overall a good tournament being decided by 2 best team. I root for Kings XI punjab, coz after the RR, they are the most aussie flavoured team.
But i know KKR will win it coz of Narine

Probably the biggest domestic cricket game on the planet.

I would love to see Narine hit for at least 40 runs in his 4 overs. I say this with respect for his skill in this format, not because he missed WI training camp deadline.

May the oz flavored kings triumph. Maxwell to score a 25 ball century.

I am surprised Punjab retained Awana and dropped Sandep Sharma for Balaji.

Punjab's relative weakness is their bowling. So, I believe 180-199 would be a competitive score for them, and 200+ should get them through.

Hee, hee, hee, thank you, Saha, for the entertainment.

Punjab score 199 with only combined 9 runs coming from Sehwag, Bailey, Maxwell and Miller!!

Where was this fella, Saha, hiding all these years? Quite entertaining and daring 115* in 55 balls.

Overall, IPL 2014 was quite enjoyable. I thought this was the best IPL edition to date. The final match also lived up to its hype.

I agree with that. This IPL had a different level of Interest. I guess it could be because of new players making their mark, and some new teams doing well. Fielding was definately international level, some reall good catches. The bowling wasnt that bad either considering some really flat pitches.

Definately a world class league. Apparently the play offs had the largest viewership across the world after the super bowl, or something like that.

in the near future I wont be suprised if IPL is given its own window. We would have all England players and hopefully if thing go right even Pakistani players taking part in it.

Superbowl? How come? Isnt that american sport? I guess IPL with billion plus indian and more cricketing countries could easily have more viewership than a sport popular only in 1 nation, america?
How many indians have access to TV? Min 500 million people? US total population is about half that? Do few indians watch cricket?

I thought Saha deserved to be the MoM. He came at a difficult time when the scoring rate was quite low.

Awana was a problem with Punjab. Remember he conceded 33 runs in one over in the previous match?

Feel sorry for the Kings really wanted them to win.

Problem imo was Awana and Balaji both utter tripe bowlers. What were they thinking dropping that Sandeep Sharma kid (or whatever his names was) he was a leading wicket taker in this years ipl and should have played.

I looked up stats for Punjab team.

Sandip Shama 18 wickets, av 19.7, er 8.8
P Awana 7 wickets, av 35.0, er 10.4
