If it's a choice between having Fabregas and not having him, then obviously you would chose having him every time.
However, the choice isn't that clear-cut; we don't really know what our budget is like - as opposed to cash in the bank - and spending ~£30m on Fabregas could potentially limit our ability to strengthen other areas that are currently lacking, such as DM, CF, CB, and RB.
Fabregas is a great player, but I think we need to focus our attentions on rectifying the major flaws in our system before we look at him.
Get the players that we need in certain positions first and if we have any money left over then get him.
Rather have Cesc playing for Arsenal's midfield than Diaby,Flamini, Arteta, Cazorla & Rosicky!
-------------
cant say i agree. Flamini is a totally different type of player so not really comparable, Diaby is just injury-probe but when both are fit and at the top of their game i'd prefer Diaby. Rosicky has an excellent season just there! and Cazorla.... seriously you wanna bin Cazorla for Fabregas?
Arsenals summer transfer activity should focus 2 right-backs + 1 striker + 1 gk to replace fabianski. IF they were to go for ANOTHER midfielder....i'd rather see someone much younger, like Julian Draxler
it's a no brainer, one of the best (imo the best) midfielder in the world for 30m in the current market is an absolute bargain.. and it would be a massive lift to the club to see Cesc return. We've got enough money to sort out other areas of the squad.
Poor man`s Carlton Palmer imo
I reckon we'll go for him if it appears another Premier League club is demonstrating serious interest, as they undoubtedly will. Whether he chooses to come back here then or not is up to him.
If, for whatever reason, only foreign clubs are after him, then I would think he'd stay lower down the list of priorities.
I can't see us being able to sign any other players of his calibre. And if we don't get him he will be playing against us in the PL. We can't have that.
We might not even have the choice to sign him.

Marca's report that Fabregas was in London yesterday is correct. No talks with Arsenal planned as yet.

Chelsea?
He won't go to Chelsea 100% guarantee that
Yeah I know, but if a report is confirmed as being correct, it doesn't matter who reports it, even if it's the Daily Mail.
Okay, so maybe the Daily Mail is taking it too far...
Cesc hates Maureen fortunately, seeing him go to Chelsea would be sickening.
there's picture evidence of Cesc being in London yesterday.
I want him back. It would be great for the team as a previous poster said you can't have enough WC players in the team and he is.
Lescott and Richards from City 8 million, Vela 4 million Campbell back from loan.
That leaves a DM can't cost more than 30m so thats 70m all-ni.
Summer business sorted.
Come to think of it my grandmother was pictured in Barcelona yesterday, perhaps she is his replacement?
RVP is gonna be the new Jamie Sanderson in a few years
Jamie Sanderson was reliable once upon a time.
He sold out to write BS for the metro
