Who was the midfield in 07/08?

yep

basically Wenger doesn't want to disrupt the progress of Ramsey+Wilshere and the balance of the team.

posted on 6/6/14

so in your opinion you would pass up on the best play maker in the world? strange decision that and very much an Oxymoron.

like both Ramsey and Wilshere are guaranteed to last a season, not! When we lost Ramset when he was on top form who stepped up? nobody, I thought Cazorla would, that IMO cost us the title.

I wouldn't but that's one of the few reasons I can think of why Wenger has passed the baton.

Cesc fabreags is not the best play maker in the world, if he was Barca woudl not be selling him

And there would be a que of clubs looking to sign him.

good player no doubt but he will not revolutionise a team like is being suggested.

Plus ramsey will be a better player overall, but that's just my opinion.

Wenger is not spending and doing the bit extra in comparison to Chelsea and City that will help us to compete on all front.

Look, does Bayern need 6-7 midfielders almost on the same level? Does City use all their strikers at the same time? Chelsea bought Torres, Ba, Etto, Hazard upfront and add now Costa.

Look what these teams have achieved and we didnt. Big difference.

Cesc is a public hate figure at barca, flopped so hard under pep, they endured a strained relationship, he can rot at chelsea as a make shift left-back

Gunner thou - valid point. But we finished with a trophy and 3 pts off Chelsea. Only City and arguably Liverpool had a better season than us.

As I stated Fabregas will destroy the balance of the team, its now time for Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere and together with Özil simply there is no space for Fabregas. If you have Leo Messi you don't partner him with Cristiano.

There's not a team in the wordl and very few in history who wouldn't sacifice babies to be able to partner those 2 up.

Yeah but City won the title, Bayern the domestic cup and the title again. Last year Bayern won all titles.

It will fail because they are not compatible. If you watch Real Madrid Benzema will work to help Ronaldo.

The players in the team must compliment each other. There is no space for Fabregas.

Let me ask you this the other way, if Arsenal had Fabregas would you then buy Özil or rather buy the players in the positions that Arsenal needs to strengthen?

That is not my point.

How can you not want to have more than 1 world class player in one team. We would get Cesc Fabregas for 30M EUR, right? Who said we have to play them all at the same time in every game?

Wenger complaint about our injury list when it all matters. He is right I agree with him that we fecked up the title because of our injury list mainly.

So why not doing the bit extra to give all players enough playing time and breather to keep them fit and sharp.

Look, Liverpool had the advantage to have all players available because they hadnt the distraction of international games. That kept their players fit and fresh and they nearly got there.

GT, I agree with what you're saying.
The thought of Fabregas playing in a Chelsea shirt when all of our top players are languishing on the sick bench makes me want to fall on my knees and weep like a baby. To let him pass is madness, unless there are issues we know nothing about.

stepanos

I cant really see any of this issue.

What I really cant come over is to think that Chelsea get him on a cheap. 33M is a facking joke for Cesc. That is the most embarrassing for me.

I'm thoroughly depressed and disheartened now. Life has no meaning, all the sunshine has faded.
STILL, IT MAY BE ALL JUST BS AND HYSTERIA?

I am in the same mood mate. That is a historical fack up from Wenger.

How can he say in 2013: We know how Cesc situation is because we stay in contact to we dont need him in 2014? That is a mistery to me. I am depressed and desperate, Stepanos.

Very long article, very poorly structured so I didn't read much of it.

However what I did read - "What Wenger is probably thinking is that we were 7 points of the top and in order to make up those 7 points we need a top class centre forward and a DM which is probably why we missed out on the title."

Was this not apparent back in January? Heck, was this not even obvious back in June last summer?

It didn't change anything then so why would it change now?
